Master Technology Group (MTG) specializes in designing, installing, and servicing low-voltage commercial property technologies across local and national markets. The Integrated Security Systems Technician (Traveling) provides customer-focused, workplace technology support to clients, field staff, installation partners, and internal team members. While most support work is performed remotely, occasional on-site assistance may be required locally and nationally. Supported systems are primarily security-related, including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and EAS. Job Title: TechnicianJob Description Join our dynamic team in the Module Assembly and Test Department, where you will be responsible for troubleshooting electronic systems, performing soldering on Printed Circuit Board (PCB) components, conducting routine engineering and experimental tests, and updating software and firmware. This role involves writing and updating test procedures to ensure the highest quality standards. Responsibilities + Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments. + Troubleshoot electronic systems to determine root causes and remedies for malfunctions. + Perform soldering, re-soldering, and re-flowing of PCB components. + Observe and examine equipment during testing to detect issues such as loose or missing parts, solder bridges, and shorts. + Test PCBs following repair and make necessary adjustments. + Record repair work on work orders and maintain clean and organized workspaces. + Collaborate with team members on technical requirements for repairs and projects. + Write and update test procedures. + Update software and firmware as needed. + Manage multiple tasks simultaneously. + Conduct routine engineering tests and detailed experimental testing, solving mechanical or electronics problems. Essential Skills + 3 years of relevant experience testing and troubleshooting PCBs to the component level. + Knowledge of oscilloscopes, DVMs, spectrum analyzers, and other test equipment. + Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. + Hardworking, enthusiastic, honest, trustworthy, and reliable. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate degree in Electronics or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. + 4-5 years of equivalent experience in testing and troubleshooting PCBs. + IPC-7711C/7721C Endorsement Program preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $34.00/hr.
