Position Description:
Installs intrusion, fire, CCTV, and access control security systems.
Run electrical wiring in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined spaces, which can include drilling, trenching and aerial runs.
Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that security systems are complete and satisfy customer and contractual requirements.
Assists and interfaces with the Installation Team Lead or Project Manager regarding on-site scheduling of work activities and timely delivery of equipment.
Conducts tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational.
Troubleshoots new system installations to ensure proper functioning and to ensure system meets local, county, state or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements.
Presents a professional image both in personal and vehicle appearance.
Performs work assignments in a safe manner and within specified cost limits.
Promotes, builds, and maintains good customer relations and assists with contract retention.
Maintains company propriety and documentation in accordance with established policies; handles proprietary information in the prescribed manner; adheres to and supports Securitas Technology policies and procedures including all safety requirements.
Keeps abreast of changes and new developments in products and technology. Attends and completes training programs as requested.
Job Requirements:
MUST HOLD a minimum of 1-2 years of experience installing and/or servicing intrusion, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV security systems.

Key Responsibilities
Service & Repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair boilers, burners, controls, and associated mechanical/electrical systems.
Installation: Install new equipment to manufacturer specifications and ensure compliance with all safety and code requirements.
Advanced Diagnostics: Use combustion analyzers, draft gauges, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to evaluate system performance.
Controls & Programming: Configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot electronic and digital boiler control systems.
Preventive Maintenance: Perform cleanings, inspections, adjustments, and system checks to enhance equipment lifespan and efficiency.
Customer Communication: Provide clear explanations, recommend solutions, generate quotes, and build strong customer relationships.
Project Leadership: Lead service and installation projects, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion.
Mentorship: Train, support, and mentor junior technicians to strengthen team performance.
Documentation: Complete accurate service reports and input data into our digital service platform.
Inventory & Equipment Care: Maintain tools, company vehicles, and parts inventory for optimal readiness.
Qualifications & Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required; technical/vocational degree preferred.
5-7+ years of hands-on experience with boilers, burners, or industrial mechanical systems.
Advanced knowledge of steam systems, hydronic systems, combustion, fuel systems, and controls.
Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical principles related to boiler operations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
Proven experience leading jobs, mentoring technicians, and coordinating field work.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong computer skills for reporting, diagnostics, and system updates.
Professional, customer-service oriented communication and appearance.
Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel throughout Indiana.
Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role may involve sitting, standing, climbing, balancing, kneeling, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Technicians may occasionally be exposed to fumes, chemicals, and varying noise levels depending on the job site.

Position Summary
The Sprinkler Technician Helper at Marmic Fire and Safety provides essential support in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. This entry-level position assists experienced Sprinkler Technicians with various on-site tasks, including system setup, inspection, and troubleshooting. The role involves learning about fire protection systems, helping with hands-on tasks, and ensuring the proper functioning and compliance of sprinkler systems. This position requires a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Core Responsibilities
Assistance with Installation:
* Support the installation of fire sprinkler systems, including measuring, cutting, and assembling pipes and fittings.
* Assist in setting up and connecting components, ensuring that systems are installed according to specifications and safety standards.
System Maintenance and Inspection:
* Help with routine maintenance and inspections of sprinkler systems to ensure they are operational and compliant with industry standards.
* Assist in identifying and documenting any issues or deficiencies in the systems.Repair and Troubleshooting:Provide support in troubleshooting and repairing sprinkler system components as directed by experienced technicians.
* Help with making adjustments or minor repairs to ensure system reliability.
