We currently have an Embedded Installation Technician opening for team-oriented individuals possessing vocational training in electronics or electromechanical engineering. The position provides customer contact for all post-installation problems on security systems and equipment, as well as, special project work, when needed.
Responsibilities
Services intrusion, fire, CCTV, and access control security systems.
Performs scheduled, routing preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment/systems under contract agreement by inspecting, adjusting, cleaning, and calibrating systems and checking out equipment to ensure it's in satisfactory working order.
Completes maintenance, within assigned hours, in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving the goal of zero call backs.
Assists with the start-up of new equipment or system installation and adjusts as needed to ensure the system is operational
May plan schedules, lay out basic electrical equipment installations, and assist in the start-up and check-out of new systems installations
Presents a professional image both in personal and vehicle appearance.
Performs work assignments in a safe manner and within specified cost limits.
Promotes, builds, and maintains good customer relations and assists with contract retention.
Maintains company propriety and documentation in accordance with established policies; handles proprietary information in the prescribed manner; adheres to and supports Securitas Technology policies and procedures including all safety requirements.
Keeps abreast of changes and new developments in products and technology.
Attends and completes training programs as requested.
Minimum Requirements
MUST HOLD a minimum of 1-2 years of experience installing and/or servicing intrusion, access control, and CCTV security systems.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Vocational/Technical Degree in electrical, security, or computer systems preferred.
A thorough knowledge and understanding of intrusion detection systems, electronic access control, CCTV, IP video, Surveillance systems and life safety systems.
Lenel, Matrix, DMP certifications preferred.
DMP system knowledge preferred.
IP Video and IT experience preferred.
Climb ladders that extend up to 24 ft. in height.
Avigilon, March Networks and AXIS Camera knowledge.
Carry items up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis covering after hours & weekend emergency calls.
A valid state driver's license, without restrictions, is required.

Position Summary:
Put your maintenance and repair skills to good use at Vallen as a Lead Service Technician- Instrument, Fire, and Respiratory (IFR) in the Vallen Safety Services group. In this position, you will lead technicians in the inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs to life safety equipment for established customers on a scheduled basis.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the quality of service provided to our customers, ensure that Vallen personnel are following Vallen standard operating procedures, and that assigned HTS technicians are being properly trained and utilized.
* May also have scheduling responsibilities.
* Leads small groups or on-site service centers within area of expertise.
* May be responsible for interacting with the customers to coordinate job activities.
* Providing customer service in the area of Inspecting, Testing, Maintenance and Repairs of Life Safety Equipment. Including, but not limited to: Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hose, Gas Detection Monitors, Respiratory Equipment, Fall Protection Equipment and Safety Shower / Eyewash Units.
* Responsible for ensuring all documentation associated with assigned tasks is filled out accurately, completely & turned in for proper invoicing.
* Ensures all required copies provided to the customer upon servicing equipment.
* Basic knowledge of regulatory standards pertaining to assigned duties, i.e., State, OSHA, and NFPA regulations, NFPA Guidelines and Vallen SOP's.
* Responsible for Parts & Equipment requests.
* Maintaining accurate inventories related to job and maintenance orders.
* Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders & distributing to sales associates for processing.
* May include the use of company provided assets such as but not limited to: Company Vehicle, Inventory, Safety Equipment, Laptop, BR Scanner, Test Equipment, Tools, Radio, Cell Phone, Fuel Card and/or Credit Card.
* Associates are required to maintain proper care of all assets as defined by Vallen policies.
Job Qualifications:
* High School or GED
* Minimum 4 Certifications (manufacturer /state) in a related field
