JOB DUTIES: This working position is responsible for the general maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of plumbing, electrical, cabinetry/carpentry, masonry, welding, HVAC, drywall, roofing, and associated systems necessary to operate a major institution. Responsible for general and preventive maintenance, and repair of various systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more. Provides on-the-job training to supervised inmates in trades related to maintenance and repair tasks. Performs tests, maintains logs, and keeps records for equipment as per Department guidelines. Plans, organizes, and requisitions necessary parts for maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
