Master Technology Group (MTG) specializes in designing, installing, and servicing low-voltage commercial property technologies across local and national markets.
The Integrated Security Systems Technician (Traveling) provides customer-focused, workplace technology support to clients, field staff, installation partners, and internal team members. While most support work is performed remotely, occasional on-site assistance may be required locally and nationally.
Supported systems are primarily security-related, including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and EAS. Additional support may encompass network programming, fire alarm systems, data infrastructure, AV, and other low-voltage disciplines.
An MTG Integrated Security Systems Technician must deliver exceptional customer service and cultivate strong professional relationships with clients, vendors, Local Service Partners (LSPs), and colleagues. This role requires technical proficiency, extensive knowledge of low-voltage systems, excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, and strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Candidates must reside in the Twin Cities area and are expected to perform most of their work from our Eden Prairie, MN office. Periodic job site responsibilities may be required locally and nationally, with travel up to 60% supporting client sites, installations, and service operations.
To assist with critical service issues, the role includes on-call duties as part of daily responsibilities, requiring availability after hours on weekdays. Weekend on-call shifts will be rotated on a scheduled basis to ensure support during urgent weekend needs.
This position reports to the Manager of Technical Services.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support customers, coordinators, field technicians, and project managers with technical advice, troubleshooting, and resource allocation
Collaborate with Business Development and Operations to provide pre-sales and post-sales support for MTG solutions and systems
Deliver remote and hands-on training to field personnel to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, client specifications, and MTG's quality standards
Serve as an escalation point for troubleshooting, programming, maintaining, and servicing client systems
Pre-program, build, and stage equipment for installation when practical, to streamline on-site setup
Provide remote and on-site programming and commissioning for client systems
Conduct remote and on-site quality assurance audits to verify system performance and installation standards
Assist installation, service, and coordination teams with technical planning, issue resolution, and commissioning, ensuring systems operate as intended and meet MTG quality standards
Provide user training to client representatives
Provide technical training to field personnel and colleagues
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback to management on processes, efficiency, and client satisfaction
Deliver outstanding customer service and build strong, professional relationships with clients, vendors, partners, and colleagues
Other duties to support the company vision and goals as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years of field experience installing, configuring, programming, and servicing video, access control, and intrusion systems
Field experience with low-voltage cabling, data infrastructure, fire alarms, EAS, DAS, AV, and other workplace technology systems is advantageous
Proven ability to design, configure, and program a variety of security-related systems
Demonstrated experience in delivering user training to client representatives and technical training to field personnel
Industry certifications such as MN Power Limited Technician (PLT), NICET Video Security Systems Technician, ESA certifications, or equivalent are preferred
Manufacturer certifications such as Axis Network Video, Milestone, Genetec, Exacq, Bosch, KeyScan, Avigilon, Lenel S2, March Networks, or Open Options are preferred
Strong interest and motivation to pursue ongoing education and additional certifications
Solid familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Ability to meet travel and on-call requirements for the position

Position Summary:
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in providing exceptional service and support for our analytical instrumentation. In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of service-related functions, including the repair, maintenance, and performance verification of assigned products, including demo equipment and instruments returned from customers.

Compensation & Benefits:
This full-time, non-exempt position comes with a comprehensive benefits package. SUMMARY
The Roving Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of related duties including equipment installation troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance in order to ensure the property and grounds are meeting the company's established standards and any applicable laws. The Roving Maintenance Technician will partner with the Property Manager and Zone Building Engineer for the properties they are assigned to at any given time. They will work directly with the Property Manager to ensure that all vacated apartments are made "rent-ready", work orders are completed as quickly as possible, and that all common repairs (such as touch-up painting and fixture replacement, etc.) are identified and fixed quickly. Incumbent will be required to have a Pool Operator's certification, Type II EPA Certification, and Special Class boilers license. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Travel to and work at multiple sites within the Bigos Management property portfolio to provide back-up support for any and all Maintenance Technicians within Bigos Management
Will be responsible for rotating on-call support and will respond to emergency calls within 30 minutes
Monitor and maintain all building systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Boilers, etc.) and perform needed repairs as assigned
Assist the Property Manager in completing unit-to-unit inspections as needed
Perform all site-level preventative maintenance duties assigned by the Zone Building Engineer or Property Manager
Assist the Zone Building Engineer in providing technical training for site Maintenance Technicians
Communicate with Zone Building Engineer and the Maintenance Technician I regarding major site repairs, remodels, and capital projects and work with them directly, when needed
Work collaboratively with vendor teams on identified maintenance projects
Work with the Property Manager and peer group to maintain an adequate inventory of hand tools, parts, and supplies in order to maintain a complete workshop area
Responsible for alerting the Property Manager to any unusual circumstances or high priority issues that need immediate attention
Interact in a positive manner with staff, residents, vendors, contractors, and the community
Comply with all safety program requirements and work to promote safety in the workplace
Make sure all activities at the sites remain compliant with all local, state, federal and Fair Housing laws
Attend relevant training courses, including ensuring all required certifications are current
Prepare and submit summary report at the end of each property assignment
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 3+ years' experience as a Maintenance Technician in a residential apartment setting
AA degree or certification in mechanical, HVAC, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
Knowledge and on-the-job experience in the areas of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, appliance repair, building key systems, lawn irrigation systems, and pool and sauna operations
Requires a Certified Pool Operators License, Special Boiler's License, and Type II EPA Refrigerant Certification (within 6 months of hire)
Must have reliable transportation, valid state driver's license and proof of insurance as travel between sites is required
Skills and Abilities:
Fluent in English and skilled in oral and written communication
Ability to use tact and diplomacy in a clear, courteous manner when dealing with staff, residents, and the public
Decision-making, problem solving, and time management skills
Ability to build authentic relationships, including maintaining trust, effectively listening, and demonstrating patience and empathy
Ability to quickly and effectively adapt to diverse work environments
Ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously with little direction
Knowledge of federal Fair Housing laws and any applicable local housing provisions
The ability to respond to emergency calls in a timely manner (30 minutes preferred)
Physical Demands:
Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment. Frequent kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving through-out day. Regular lifting of more than 20 lbs. and frequent lifting of up to 80 lbs. with assistance. May encounter heights, ladders, uneven walking surface, stairs, confined spaces, dust, gas fumes from power equipment and noise. Exposed to external weather conditions, drafts and interior temperature changes. Will regularly handle supplies and tools with sharp edges.
Must be able to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions, including climbing stairs and walking the hallways and common areas.

SUMMARY

You'll work independently at customer sites while being backed by a dedicated support team that values professionalism, safety, and strong communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, service, and repair pool systems including pumps, filters, heaters, and automation controls to ensure proper operation and longevity.
Test, monitor, and adjust pool water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, etc.) to maintain safe and clean water in compliance with health standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, plumbing, and electrical issues related to pool operations.
Provide knowledgeable, respectful service to clients by answering questions, explaining procedures, and offering recommendations for pool care.
Maintain records of services performed, parts used, and equipment issues to support accountability and communication.
Follow established safety procedures and use appropriate PPE to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications:
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is a plus. If not currently certified, willingness to obtain certification within 60-90 days of hire is preferred.
Prior hands-on experience maintaining pools and working with pool systems
Strong mechanical know-how and a knack for troubleshooting
Strong understanding of water treatment systems and pool mechanics
Experience with commercial or multi-residential pools a plus
Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded
Friendly, helpful attitude and solid communication skills
Valid Driver's License
