Under the direction of the Material Systems Supervisor, the Material System Technician is responsible for properly mixing, grinding, and moving all raw material for the production of injection molded products, controlling and identifying all scrap material, which includes regrind for processing, recyclable scrap, and waste scrap. Responsibilities will also include setting up, programming, operation and minor maintenance of the entire material handling system. This will be achieved by maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation. Essential Functions: Review production schedule and set-up materials according to the schedule. Read, follow, and verify work orders to insure product is manufactured to specification. Properly complete electronic Material Log sheets every shift. Change materials as required. Identify raw materials and label correctly. Properly program, set up, and operate entire material handling system including blenders, dryers, hoppers and grinder evacuation units. Troubleshoot and correct common material and material system problems. Complete moisture tests daily on Max 4000XL Moisture Analzyer and document results. Clean and help maintain material blenders, hoppers, dryers, and grinders. Complete material transactions in PeopleSoft for additions and subtractions of raw materials. Visual inspection of manufactured parts. Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality/Environmental System certifications by supporting: corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation. Perform daily, weekly, biweekly and monthly cycle counts of raw material as needed. Change, clean and maintain all pump filters in material system as required. Unload "Bulk Material Trucks" into proper silo, following specific work instructions. Verify Closed loop regrind systems are in place and working. Mix raw materials as needed using the correct formulas. Other Functions Complete routine housekeeping to ensure that the material handling areas are keep clean and organized by following daily and weekly cleaning procedures. Attend and successfully complete forklift certification. Weigh and properly document all scrap materials for reuse, recycling, and waste. Other duties as assigned. Success in this role will require Ability to read and follow work orders. Properly complete material changes according to the production schedule and work order. Use and complete Electronic Material Log properly. Ability to properly identify and label all types of raw materials (virgin, regrind, recyclable scrap and waste materials). Properly take samples for moisture checks. Properly complete material transactions using the ERP system. Successfully complete forklift training and certification. Ability to function as team player. Essential Functions Coordinate with the Technicians regarding work priorities for the department Coordinate all work instructions with the Technicians, including machine setup, material needs, downstream needs, packaging etc., to maintain machine efficiency Set parameters for the machines by following the set-up procedure sheet. Ensure that all data sheets, scrap records and Q/A documentation are used and completed. Must ensure that all processes are running efficiently, and at the standard production rates or above that are listed on the work orders Troubleshoot machine problems to maintain the production of a quality product. Report any machine repairs, needs, etc. to maintenance or the department manager Understanding of extrusion and punch processing Read and interpret shop orders. Monitor the extrusion process including temperature awareness Visually inspect product for quality and take necessary measurements Maintain a clean and safe work area. Perform grinding function as needed. Required Personal Protective Equipment worn at all times during shift Success in this role will require: Ability to operate, when needed, all Extruders and Punches Ability to access and use MES software. Starting/stringing up parts for production runs: being able to properly start extrusion/punch machine and properly get parts to a production state. Ability to see flaws in the production run and make proper adjustments on equipment to produce a quality part. Adhere to production quality standards Ability to understand and use Process Sheets to setup, start, and put into production any and all extruded product. Ensure that all process parameters are maintained within the specification limits. Follow all instructions and direction set forth by the Extrusion Manager and Extrusion Tech III Assist in training Extrusion Tech I on the shift. Understand and perform all aspects of tooling set ups, cleaning of tools, and storage of tools. Follow all instructions to maintain inventory control and cycle counts Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in written form with management and with all employees in the department on each shift of all quality and/or process issues. Forklift certified at HellermannTyton. What You Bring: High school diploma or equivalent required. 1+ years Extrusion experience Ability to read and understand tool and product blueprints/specifications. Good oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for up to 12 hours when scheduled. Prior forklift experience preferred. Must be able to perform detailed inspections and complete associated documentation. Ability to follow detailed instruction in either written or oral form. Job Title: TechnicianJob Description Join us as a Technician and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automated electronic assembly equipment. This position involves setup, programming, thermal profiling, and proactive maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize performance. Training and development are provided. Responsibilities + Perform light maintenance and repairs on SMT equipment; identify root causes of failures and implement solutions. + Utilize CIM/CAM/CAD data to create machine-positioning programs aligned with customer specifications. + Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and assist in developing product build techniques. + Create thermal profiles to ensure compliance with industry standards and process yield requirements. + Conduct statistical measurements (CPK/PPK) to maintain process control and equipment performance. + Collaborate with internal teams, provide technical leadership, and ensure customer satisfaction. Work Environment The team consists of 10 equipment technicians supporting the Neenah facility. The team will work on all machines. The work environment is supportive of continuous growth and education, with flexibility to help meet individual goals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Neenah, WI.
