POSITION OVERVIEW


Mill Repair is responsible for repairing and maintaining mining and milling equipment, conveyors, hydraulics, pumps etc.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Perform basic pump repair- Horizontal and Vertical pumps. Perform basic Crusher repair- Rebuild, Lubrication and Hydraulics repair. Perform basic cutting and welding. Perform basic Cyclone repairs. Basic Mill Lining abilities = Pulling, lifting (50 lbs), squatting, crawling and walking on uneven surfaces. Perform proper bearing installations. Perform basic pipe fitting and pipe threading of different types of pipe. Rigging abilities = Pulling straps, cables (15 lbs) Conveyor Belt adjusting abilities = pulling (50 lbs) Abilities to use come-along hoists. Proper use of power tools. Proper use of Torque wrenches, Hydraulic Jacks and Hand Tools.


REQUIRED
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES


Ability to operate a Forklift, Manlift, Hydralifts and other related equipment. Must have some mechanical repair and/or welding experience on heavy machinery. Basic cutting and welding abilities. Basic pipe fitting abilities, pipe threading, different types of pipe. Must be able to walk some distance, upstairs and carrying tools up to 50 lbs. Must be able to reach with, lift and hold overhead approximately 50 lbs. Must be able to swing a 20 lb. hammer. Must be able to work in cramped areas, on heights and in confined spaces. Must be able to work in high temperatures and in humidity levels (inside a mill, summertime). Basic ability to speak, read and write in English. MUST SUCCESSFULLY PASS THE FIRST CLASS OR SECOND-CLASS REPAIRMAN TEST AND WELDING TEST TO BE CONSIDERED.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


High School Diploma or GED.

Titan America, LLC has an immediate opening for a Repairman A in the Mobile Equipment Garage for Titan America, LLC Pennsuco Aggregates Division in Medley, FL. This wage non-exempt position will report to the Mobile Equipment Supervisor. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Job Responsibilities:

+ Perform all required safety checks and follow all safety rules and regulations.

+ Diagnose a vehicle's mechanical and electrical systems accurately.

+ Troubleshoot the computer and electronic systems of the vehicle.

+ Conduct regular vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, filter replacements, and fluid top-ups.

+ Replace and repair worn or defective parts and mechanical components.

+ Assist in heavy equipment repairs by welding small and large components such as handrails, platforms, and frames.

+ Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or GED supplemented by technical or vocational maintenance training.

+ Knowledge of technical and mechanical procedures in gasoline and diesel engines.

+ In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems.

+ All power actuated and hand tools required to perform the work.

+ Experienced in all types of welding procedures. i.e. MIG, TIG, Stick, Air Arc, Torch cutting and welding, Wire Feed, Plasma Arc. Fabrication and repair welding.

+ Ability to speak, read, and write in English and Spanish.

+ Maintain a current Florida Driver's License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.

+ Must have own tools including a hammer, screwdrivers, pry bar, wrenches, pliers, ratchets in 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drive, six-point socket sets 1/4" - 1 1/8", and toolbox.

+ Positive attitude to achieve goals and deliver results individually and in teams.

+ Must be able to perform heavy work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally: and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently: and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

+ Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions sufficient to carry out repair orders and understand maintenance records and equipment specifications.

+ Ability to maintain basic records for repair work done.

+ Ability to perform assigned tasks properly and in a timely manner.

+ Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and of related safety practices.

Shift:

Must be able to work day shifts, night shifts, weekends and overtime as necessary.
