This is a highly skilled, judicially appointed stenographic position reporting and transcribing verbatim testimony in a variety of court proceedings. An employee in this class is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the official record of court proceedings. The Court Reporter position may prepare transcripts for Judges as part of the work day, but primarily prepares transcripts as an independent contractor.
