KUTV 2News and Talkin' Sports are Utah's leading source for sports, weather and breaking news both on the digital market as well as broadcast television. The station is a CBS Television affiliate owned by Sinclair Broadcasting Group, Inc., part of one of the largest and most diversified broadcasting companies in the U.S. We are an aggressive market leader in sports where we actively produce digital content, as well as nightly sports shows, several team related sports shows and originate multiple live Sports broadcasts. Our Talkin' Sports format produces pod casts, digital features, half-hour sports shows each night, as well as an hour long edition of Talkin Sports each Sunday night. Sister stations KMYU and KJZZ broadcast live sporting events, and specialized programs in Utah and surrounding areas both digitally and on broadcast television Additionally we deliver several “franchise” Talkin' Sports programs including Talkin' Utah Jazz, Talkin' Real Salt Lake, Talkin' Hockey, Talkin' Golf and Talkin' High School Football…all of which are produced for digital/Sports app use as well as broadcast television. We cover Sports at all levels in Utah including the Utah Jazz, Utah mammoth, Real Salt Lake, Utah Royals, Salt Lake Bee's, Utah Warriors, University of Utah sports, BYU sports, Utah State and many more college programs. Day-to-day tasks and responsibilities include but not limited to multimedia content creation, podcasting, scriptwriting, and maintaining a strong social media presence to engage with the audience. Also coordinating Digital/Sports app content creation including pod casts, digital broadcasts and other digital content creation. On air responsibilities include videography, editing, Anchoring, Reporting, Play-by-Play, sideline reporting, Color Commentating or other responsibilities as directed by Station Manager or Sports Director. Skills and Experience: Extensive digital experience. A self-starter and who can generate his or her own story ideas daily and digital content creation. Ability to demonstrate enterprise reporting and creativity in storytelling. Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to maintain an active social media presence to build your brand and generate original story ideas. Proficiency in Multimedia content creation Excellent on-air presence and delivery Knowledge of social media and digital content strategy. Requirements and Qualifications: Previous digital content creation as well as reporting, anchoring, and producing on Broadcast television experience is required. Must have at least two years of digital creation and on-air experience. Live reporting experience is required. Previous experience working in a team environment is a must.
