About the Role
As Medical Director, you will provide strategic leadership and clinical oversight for our Acute Rehabilitation Center. You'll have dedicated administrative support time in addition to your clinical responsibilities, and a strong platform to engage in academic scholarship and service leadership.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an ACGME-accredited PM&R residency
Board-certified or board-eligible with the American Board of PM&R (ABPM&R)
Minimum two years of inpatient rehabilitation experience or training
Minnesota medical license or eligibility
Ability to obtain DEA certification (Minnesota)
Eligibility for credentialing and privileging
Strong interpersonal and teaching skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior leadership in an inpatient rehabilitation facility
Familiarity with CMS guidelines and regulatory standards
Experience with CARF and Joint Commission accreditation
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Program Oversight: Provide clinical leadership and administrative direction to the inpatient rehabilitation team. Ensure compliance with legal and accreditation standards while promoting excellence in care delivery. Commit a minimum of 20 hours per week to direct patient care at the ARC, with additional protected administrative time dedicated to support leadership duties, program development, and quality improvement efforts.
Quality & Performance Initiatives: Develop and track clinical metrics, drive quality improvement, and implement evidence-based practices to elevate patient outcomes.
Hospital & Community Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison across departments, facilitate care coordination, and support hospital operational strategies.
Advocacy & Representation: Represent the ARC in institutional meetings, regulatory reviews, and strategic planning efforts.
Patient Care & Coverage: Deliver expert rehabilitation care, participate in call pool, and provide cross-coverage as needed.
Education & Mentorship: Engage in the training and professional development of medical students, residents, fellows, and allied health professionals.
Relationship Building: Cultivate partnerships with referring clinicians and community stakeholders to strengthen patient transitions and enhance the continuum of care.
As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will thrive in a collaborative environment, support the growth of our academic programs, and play an active role in national and local organizations to enhance the field of PM&R. Academic rank and track will be determined based on your qualifications and interests. Pay and Benefits

Total compensation is competitive, with a salary range of $273,00 to $300,000. An additional augmentation is also associated with this position. Compensation is based on AAMC benchmarks based on academic rank and is proportionate to academic and clinical duties.

Division of Rheumatic and Autoimmune Diseases:
The Division currently consists of eleven faculty (three at the rank of Professor, three Associate Professors and five Assistant Professors). The Division is dedicated to discovering novel therapeutic and management approaches to improve the lives of people with autoimmune diseases. The Division boasts subspecialty clinic faculty leadership and clinical trials expertise in connective tissue diseases including SLE, vasculitis, Sjogren's disease, inflammatory myopathy and systemic sclerosis.
The division currently holds four active NIH grants totaling over $5 million, including a T35 Training Grant, and activity in human and translational clinical research in the areas of human autoreactive B Cell antigen receptor diversity and Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T and N cell research programs, aimed at assessing CAR-T and NT cell efficacy in severe autoimmune diseases.
The Division has a robust clinical practice in various M Health clinics that focus on complex autoimmune diseases, as well as a 24/7 consultation service for the Fairview-UMMC hospitals on the East and West bank of the University of Minnesota campus. Dr. Erik Peterson is the Rheumatology Service Line Director for M Health and oversees the clinical practice for our academic faculty as well as Fairview-employed rheumatologists.
The Rheumatology Fellowship Program has had long-standing success since 2008 with 4.0 FTE training at four sites in the Twin Cities, led by our Program Director, Dr. Parastoo Fazeli. The Division also has a current Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP) fellow.
Pay and Benefits
This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. Total annual compensation ranges from $234,000 to $270,000, inclusive of base pay plus expected incentive pay commensurate with experience and qualifications. The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.

The person in this role will report to the Division Director and will have primary accountability for coordinating, collating, reporting and improving the Division of Hospital Medicine's research and scholarship efforts as well as conducting their own successful program of research. This role with have protected (non-clinical) time for this role as well as academic pursuits. The Associate Director will lead a DHM Research and Scholarship Committee which will report to the DHM Executive Council and collaborate closely with Departmental, Medical School, and University research leaders to further research and scholarship efforts, increase the amount of institutional and extramural funding, encourage scholarly output, and develop collaborative working groups in collaboration with other faculty and national collaborative groups. This Associate Director will also work with the Division Director and other stakeholders in the recruitment and retention of research-focused faculty in the Division while also continuing their own program of research. The candidate will also have a commitment to fostering scholarship across multiple domains, including quality improvement, clinical research, and educational scholarship. clinical/QI/educational scholarship; advancement within the institution will depend on demonstration of clinical and scholarly achievement.

Job Description SummaryCounseling Center's Res Life Embedded Clinician The Embedded Staff Psychologist/Social Worker/Counselor is a full-time, 12 month clinical position embedded by the Counseling Center in the University of Maryland's Resident Life Office. Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Deliver inpatient consult services and participate in call coverage for the acute rehabilitation unit on a rotating basis. Provide cross-coverage for inpatient services as needed, such as for vacations.

What you will do as a Medical Dosimetrist:
Designs treatment plans and calculates distribution of doses using volumetric information with optimal beam geometry to deliver a prescribed radiation dose and spare critical structures in accordance with the Radiation Oncologists prescription.
Create and transfer plan information to the Radiation oncology treatment system for treatment verification and delivery. Includes DRR's, CBCT's and other IGRT methods.
Supervise, perform, or assist in the planning and implementation of the fabrication of compensation filters, custom shields, wedges, and other beam modifying devices.
Assist in use of molds, casts, and other immobilization devices.
Perform calculations for the accurate delivery of the prescribed dose, document all pertinent information in the patient record, and verify the mathematical accuracy of all calculations by an approved method.

In our pediatric emergency department approximately 23,000 patients are seen annually accounting for 3,000 admissions.
Our PAs and NPs serve as integral members of a multidisciplinary team providing excellence in emergency medical care. In addition, the PA/NP coordinates care with consultant services, recommends follow-up care, facilitates referral to various internal and external facilities and takes part in multidisciplinary continuous quality improvement.
Our UMMC Adult Emergency Medicine provider group includes about 40 physicians and a growing number of PAs/NPs. Patients are seen in both the West and East Bank Emergency Departments, which house over 50 beds. Our group is focused on providing high-quality patient care and expanding the academic focus of the University of Minnesota Medical Center. We work with several learners at various stages in their medical education.
In this role, you will:
Evaluate patients and perform comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations
Compile patient medical data, including health history
Order diagnostic tests, like imaging, electrocardiogram, laboratory tests, and interpret test results
Perform therapeutic procedures, like suturing, splinting, wound care, nerve blocks and other procedures appropriate for an emergency department setting
Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and help in provision of continuity of care

The Pediatric Specialty Clinic - Maple Grove offers a wide range of services to pediatric patients seeking care from any of our several sub-specialties. Some of the pediatric sub-specialties we see include; Neurology, Cardiology, Endocrine, Diabetes, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Weight Management, Nutrition, Pulmonology, Surgery, Nephrology, Dermatology and Urology. Many of our clinics are multi-disciplinary, which means we offer multiple specialty services within one clinic appointment. We offer child-family-life services, which help children to cope and understand the procedures being performed in a child-friendly way. Our teams practice patient and family centered care, partnering with families to ensure they are a partner in the care our patients receive. What you will do as a Registered Nutritional Dietitian:
Develops Patient's Nutrition Improvement/Care Plan
Completes nutrition assessment according to department policy
Develops an individualized plan based on age, culture, social consideration conditions, and other relevant needs
Collaborates with patient, family and other healthcare professionals
Determines nutrition interventions based on patient's needs and expected outcomes
Identifies interdisciplinary resources needed to assist in implementation and makes referrals as needed
Assures all actions are based on scientific, ethical, or ecological principles; relevant policies/procedures; proven effectiveness; past experience; Medical Nutrition Therapy practice standards; patient/family requests and values; and legal parameters
Evaluates, systematically and continuously, the patients' response to interventions
Provides Patient/Family/Community Education
Plans and presents educational programs which meet the assessed needs and capabilities of inpatients, outpatients, community groups, and health care professionals using appropriate department educational materials and lesson plans. Considers population served
Assists patients, families and community members in identifying and securing available resources to achieve necessary goals
Serves as a preceptor and helps clients and dietetic interns/students apply nutrition knowledge and skills
Uses communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes
Communicates and receives verbal and written information in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner
Communicates information to the appropriate personnel in the Nutrition Department
Demonstrates Quality in Practice
Implements quality practice by following system policies/procedures, practice guidelines, and Medical Nutrition Therapy protocols
Provides care according to organizational ethics, Code of Ethics for profession of dietetics, licensure, and the Standards of Professional Practice for dietetic professionals
Meets JCAHO and/or other regulatory standards
Systematically evaluates quality and effectiveness of practice and revises practice to incorporate evaluation results
What you will need:
College graduate with a B.S. in Nutrition and/or Dietetics or closely related field. American Dietetic Association Registered or registry eligible, ADA registration within 90 days
MN State Licensure upon hire
1+ year as a clinical dietitian on non-specialty practice areas. One to two years of position related experience in nutrition improvement
Nutrition Care Planning Skills. Medical nutrition therapy skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to multi-task on an ongoing basis. Good organization and prioritization skills. Continuous education in related clinical/nutrition areas
