About the Job
We are seeking a board-certified Family Medicine physician to join a high-performing, collegial team of primary care clinicians. This position is based at the award-winning Mill City Clinic, located in the heart of Minneapolis, directly across the street from the iconic Guthrie Theater. In this full-time role, you will provide outpatient care to a broad range of patients, from 1 week of age to 103, from 300+ Zip codes, with high representation in the geriatric, performing arts, academic, international, and LGBTQ+ communities. In addition, this role will provide clinical education to medical students on their required Family Medicine clerkship. Call is minimal for family medicine and pediatric patients. The University provides numerous opportunities for faculty development and participation in various scholarly activities.
Qualifications
Required:
MD or DO
Completion of a Family Medicine residency
Board certified/eligible in Family Medicine
Ability to obtain MN license
Preferred:
3+ years' Family Medicine experience
Medical student teaching experience including curriculum development and evaluation, scholarly activities, mentoring trainees, and medical directorship
Familiar with Epic EMR
Passionate about quality improvement/quality assurance
About the Department
The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota was created more than 45 years ago in response to a legislative mandate to train primary care physicians. Since then, we have been leaders in transforming the specialty through education, research, and patient care. We are the academic sponsor of eight family medicine residencies-five in the Twin Cities, three in Greater Minnesota. We are involved in medical student education activities across the Medical School's two campuses: Twin Cities and Duluth. We sponsor four fellowship programs-sports medicine, hospice and palliative medicine, behavioral medicine, and human sexuality- and offer continuing medical education opportunities. Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort of the person hired, and begins at $58,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary will be in the range of $210,000 - $230,000. Total salary will be dependent on taking medicine and/or OB call, years of experience, and rank. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Division of Rheumatic and Autoimmune Diseases:
The Division currently consists of eleven faculty (three at the rank of Professor, three Associate Professors and five AssistantProfessors). The Division is dedicated to discovering novel therapeutic and management approaches to improve the lives of people with autoimmune diseases. The Division boasts subspecialty clinic faculty leadership and clinical trials expertise in connective tissue diseases including SLE, vasculitis, Sjogren's disease, inflammatory myopathy and systemic sclerosis.
The division currently holds four active NIH grants totaling over $5 million, including a T35 Training Grant, and activity in human and translational clinical research in the areas of human autoreactive B Cell antigen receptor diversity and Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T and N cell research programs, aimed at assessing CAR-T and NT cell efficacy in severe autoimmune diseases.
The Division has a robust clinical practice in various M Health clinics that focus on complex autoimmune diseases, as well as a 24/7 consultation service for the Fairview-UMMC hospitals on the East and West bank of the University of Minnesota campus. Dr. Erik Peterson is the Rheumatology Service Line Director for M Health and oversees the clinical practice for our academic faculty as well as Fairview-employed rheumatologists.
The Rheumatology Fellowship Program has had long-standing success since 2008 with 4.0 FTE training at four sites in the Twin Cities, led by our Program Director, Dr. Parastoo Fazeli. The Division also has a current Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP) fellow.

About the Position:
The University of Minnesota Medical School's Department of Radiology seeks one fulltime ABR board certified/eligible radiologist with a primary interest in Neuroradiology. Academic rank, compensation and appointment type will be based on qualifications and experience. Candidates must have demonstrated ability in teaching and in scholarly productivity in one or more specialty areas in radiology.
Minimum requirements are an M.D or equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota, board certified or board eligible, completion of ACGME accredited radiology residency training. About the Division:
The Division of Rheumatic and Autoimmune Diseases seeks the cure for a diverse group of immunological and inflammatory diseases that affect a wide range of organ systems. Although the cause of many of these illnesses is unknown, many share some form of immunopathology that leads to uncontrolled inflammation, pain, disability, and often tissue destruction. Ongoing basic, translational, and clinical research in this division is leading to an even greater understanding of systemic autoimmunity that leads to rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, scleroderma, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren's syndrome and polymyositis/dermatomyositis, as well as select tissue-specific autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis and diabetes mellitus. Clinicians in this Division are also available for inpatient and outpatient Rheumatology Consultation at the University of Minnesota Medical Center-Fairview, Fairview Maple Grove sites. Finally, educators in this Division are training the next generation of biomedical researchers, rheumatology practitioners, and professors, to meet the growing health care needs of the 21st century.

The Cytogenetics Laboratory has been an early adopter and innovator of genomic assays. The Cytogenetics Laboratory is a full-service laboratory cytogenomic assays for prenatal and postnatal constitutional referrals, and for detection and characterization of acquired abnormalities in hematologic and solid tumors. The laboratory has a national reputation in pediatric malignancies and bone marrow failure syndromes and, together with the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory, supports a very active hematopoietic stem cell transplantation program. This role will be part of a collaborative team of specialists that include cytogeneticists, molecular pathologists and highly specialized and experienced laboratory staff.
This role participates in medical student, resident and fellow education, and is encouraged to pursue research that leads to a national/international reputation of excellence. Clinical responsibilities, on-call duties and conferences are shared with other members of the cytogenetics faculty.
Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work in the candidate's area of specialty/research expertise with a goal of developing collaborative or independent externally funded research. Preferred candidates will be active in their national organizations and have experience in fostering an academic environment for medical students, residents, fellows and faculty.

Sign-out responsibilities, autopsy service, resident and fellow supervision and conferences are shared with other pediatric and anatomic pathology faculty within the division of anatomic pathology. Leadership opportunities in education or digital pathology exist for qualified candidates.
Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work in the candidate's area of specialty/research expertise. Preferred candidates will be active in their national organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents, fellows and faculty.
