About the Role
As MedicalDirector, you will provide strategic leadership and clinical oversight for our Acute Rehabilitation Center. You'll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive quality care, performance improvement, and compliance, while mentoring the next generation of academic and clinical professionals. You'll have dedicated administrative support time in addition to your clinical responsibilities, and a strong platform to engage in academic scholarship and service leadership.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an ACGME-accredited PM&R residency
Board-certified or board-eligible with the American Board of PM&R (ABPM&R)
Minimum two years of inpatient rehabilitation experience or training
Minnesota medical license or eligibility
Ability to obtain DEA certification (Minnesota)
Eligibility for credentialing and privileging
Strong interpersonal and teaching skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior leadership in an inpatient rehabilitation facility
Familiarity with CMS guidelines and regulatory standards
Experience with CARF and Joint Commission accreditation
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Program Oversight: Provide clinical leadership and administrative direction to the inpatient rehabilitation team. Ensure compliance with legal and accreditation standards while promoting excellence in care delivery. Commit a minimum of 20 hours per week to direct patient care at the ARC, with additional protected administrative time dedicated to support leadership duties, program development, and quality improvement efforts.
Quality & Performance Initiatives: Develop and track clinical metrics, drive quality improvement, and implement evidence-based practices to elevate patient outcomes.
Hospital & Community Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison across departments, facilitate care coordination, and support hospital operational strategies.
Advocacy & Representation: Represent the ARC in institutional meetings, regulatory reviews, and strategic planning efforts.
Patient Care & Coverage: Deliver expert rehabilitation care, participate in call pool, and provide cross-coverage as needed.
Education & Mentorship: Engage in the training and professional development of medical students, residents, fellows, and allied health professionals.
Relationship Building: Cultivate partnerships with referring clinicians and community stakeholders to strengthen patient transitions and enhance the continuum of care.

Pay and Benefits
This full-time (100%) faculty position is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians and includes two salary components. Total compensation is competitive, with a salary range of $273,00 to $300,000. An additional augmentation is also associated with this position. Compensation is based on AAMC benchmarks based on academic rank and is proportionate to academic and clinical duties.

The PACT program provides comprehensive care to children with all stages of heart failure. We perform approximately 25 heart transplants and 15 VAD implants annually, with a complex mix of patients and outstanding outcomes.
The candidate will join a nationally recognized group of 8 pediatric cardiologists who provide clinical care and perform research within a multidisciplinary cardiovascular program, The Betty Irene Moore Children's Heart Center, at LPCH. The Betty Irene Moore Children's Heart Center performs approximately 600 surgical cases annually and treats a highly complex mix of patients, also with outstanding outcomes. Extensive opportunities exist for prospective clinical and translational research through collaborations with outstanding investigators in the School of Medicine (Departments of Pediatrics, Medicine, Radiology and Health Research and Policy), School of Engineering, the Stanford Program in Bio-X, and the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute. The PACT program routinely interacts with and co-manages patients with multiple other well-established sub-specialty groups within cardiology including single ventricle, pulmonary hypertension, and electrophysiology.
Responsibilities of this position include:
+ Overall leadership of the PACT program ensuring excellence in clinical care and scholarly work across the program

College and Program Development generates financial support for Cal State Fullerton, benefiting each of the eight colleges, Student Affairs, Titan Athletics, the Arboretum and Botanical Garden at Cal State Fullerton, and the Pollak Library. We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as the Director of Development, Health and Human Development (Administrator II). Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for College and Program Development and partnering with the Dean of the College of Health and Human Development (HHD), the Director of Development plays a pivotal role at Cal State Fullerton. The Director of Development works under the direction of the Assistant Vice President for College and Program Development to support fundraising activities that are consistent with the priorities of the Vice President for University Advancement and Dean of the College. Identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift prospects and donors, including corporate and foundation leaders, supporters, alumni, parents, faculty, and emeritus. The Director of Development will focus on key components of individual and corporate giving, strategic fundraising plans, and prospect management responsibilities. As a frontline major gift officer, the Director of Development will manage all aspects of the donor life cycle, while also providing counsel and expertise to faculty and programs in the College of HHD. With a portfolio of approximately 125 prospects, this leader will champion a culture of philanthropy while collaborating with university partners across disciplines, in corporate and foundation relations and sponsored programs to align private and public support for long-term impact. Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated successful direct major gift fundraising experience. Ability to solicit and secure gifts of a minimum of $25,000. Ability to understand the culture of a university. Ability to work with teams of faculty, staff, students, and volunteers. Ability to coordinate events for fundraising. Ability to create a strategic approach to development with assessment built in to determine progress and success. Ability to travel frequently, holding both on and off-site conversations and presentations to individuals and corporate leaders for cultivation and solicitation purposes. Proficiency in the use of general office equipment and Windows-based software as well as experience with donor databases.

SALARY Starting salary is $138,600 (Annually). Generally, new employees start at the first step on the salary schedule. Advanced salary placement may be considered on a case-by-case basis. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Full-time, 12-month, educational administrator position. Educational Administrators are employed on an initial one-year contract stating terms and conditions of employment. Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution in Nutrition or related field.
Minimum of two years professional experience working with college age population, collegiate student-athletes or other high-performance athletes (i.e., Professional and/or Olympic athletes).

Compensation and Benefits:
Anticipated Hiring Range: $8,545 - $8,972 per month
The salary offered will take into account internal equity and experience among other factors.

Academic year schedule: Monday through Friday (8:00 am - 5:00 pm), some evenings/weekends.
Summer schedule: Monday through Thursday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm), some evenings/weekends.
This is a full-time management (MPP) position. MPP employees serve at the will of the campus President. MPPs do not serve a probationary period and never receive permanent status.
This position is a "designated position" in the California State University's Conflict of Interest Code. The scope of responsibilities for this position includes making or participating in decisions that may have a material financial benefit to the incumbent. Therefore, the individual holding this position is required to file an initial Conflict of Interest: Statement of Economic Interests ("Form 700") within thirty (30 days) from the date of hire and on an annual basis. In addition, the individual holding this position must complete the required conflict of interest training within thirty (30) days of their appointment and at least once during each consecutive period of two calendar years following the appointment, subject to the Fair Political Practices Commission regulations.
