    The University of Minnesota, Department of Pediatrics seeks a MD/DO Physician, board certified or eligible in Pediatrics and Medical Genetics and Genomics, at the rank of Associate or Professor/Academic Track or Assistant Professor/Tenured Track to join the Department of Pediatrics: Division of Pediatric Genetics & Metabolism. This opportunity will include the role of Division Director and potential leadership of the Rare Disease Center of Excellence if interests, experience, and training align. Position Highlights: Responsibilities will include up to 60% clinical care for children and adults. Additional responsibilities (30%) will include developing the Pediatric Genetics Division into the epicenter of genetic and genomic research, engaging in productive interdisciplinary and inter-institutional clinical and/or research activities; and teaching medical students, residents and fellows. Director of the Rare Disease Center of Excellence with oversight of clinical operations and research initiatives. The successful candidate should have an established research program in molecular and/or cellular basis of rare diseases, new diagnostic and/or therapeutic approaches for rare diseases or applications of new genomic technologies Will work to build partnerships between pediatric and adult medicine to provide care across the lifespan for individuals with genetic disorders Will join a group of 6 geneticists and 1 Pediatric APP in our Pediatric Genetics & Metabolism Division Will work with a productive group of 10 Genetic Counselors Will lead robust interactions with the Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and collaborate with a large Maternal-Fetal Medicine program in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Provide care for a large patient population from across the State of Minnesota and region that includes many with highly acute disorders. About the Department: The Department of Pediatrics is a thriving academic department with over 380 full-time faculty and ranks in the top 10 nationally in NIH funding. Children are cared for at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital, opened in 2011. About the Division: The Division of Pediatric Genetics and Metabolism provides high-quality, compassionate, thoughtful care through commitment, vigorous scientific collaborations, and interdisciplinary efforts. The faculty are highly interactive and the Department of Pediatrics provides strong support for faculty development. The division has a robust research portfolio and collaborates with other pediatric specialists across the spectrum of the department. The Division recently led the creation of a new National Organization of Rare Disorders-recognized Rare Disease Center of Excellence (RDCoE) in the Department of Pediatrics and Medical School, which will serve as the epicenter for rare disease research and cutting-edge clinical care programs. Candidates must be board-certified or eligible by either of The American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG), American Board of Internal Medicine or American Board of Pediatrics Licensed or ability to obtain medical license and DEA certificate in the State of Minnesota and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges. Ability to work in the United States. Demonstrated success in creating and executing strategic plans to achieve established goals for a group of physicians/scientists. Demonstrated success in leading and/or supporting medical research with the ability to effectively identify the implications of research findings and recommend specific actions. Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and concerns and apply effective management principles to achieve success.     Job Title: Faculty Physician - Transplant Hepatology (Assistant or Associate Professor Rank - Academic or Master Clinician Track) The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota is seeking a Transplant Hepatologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on an academic or master clinician track. The transplant hepatology section hosts one of the longest standing liver transplant programs in the United States. The Division is also home to a nationally-recognized Advanced Endoscopy Section for the development and management of ERCP, EUS, and management of complex pancreas/biliary disorders. The Division continues to maintain highest ambitions for excellence in all three of its major missions: patient services, teaching, and research. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency, Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology Fellowship training programs. Board certified in internal medicine and board certified/board eligible in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology by the ABIM. Advanced training in hepatology and clinical experience in hepatology and/or transplant hepatology is highly desirable. Demonstrated excellence in patient care, enthusiasm for medical education, and strong teaching skills. Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges. Provide and coordinate surgical care for adults with selected cardiothoracic diseases throughout the course of evaluation and treatment, including hospital admission, surgical intervention, inpatient care, consultations, and discharge planning. This includes clinic follow-up, providing information to referring physicians and institutions, and patient /family education. Provide and coordinate continuity of care between the hospital floor setting, operating room, and clinic. This individual must show commitment to exemplary patient care. Share responsibility for assessment and management of patient in cardiothoracic surgical services. Write admission and daily notes, order and direct discharge planning and follow up. Work to improve the quality of care and to decrease length of stay on the inpatient service.     The University of Minnesota Medical School's Department of Radiology seeks one fulltime ABR board certified/eligible radiologist with a primary interest in pediatric radiology. Academic rank, compensation and appointment type will be based on qualifications and experience. Candidates must have demonstrated ability in teaching and in scholarly productivity in one or more specialty areas in radiology. Minimum requirements are an MD or equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota, board certified or board eligible, completion of ACGME accredited radiology residency training. Completion of a pediatric radiology fellowship is highly preferred. Benefits to working in our department - All faculty are provided workstations at their home allowing them to work remotely within Minnesota. Evening and weekend call are taken from home. 2026 J-1 waivers are available, and candidates must apply by June 30, 2025. The position will spend significant time on a busy pediatric imaging service which serves both inpatients and outpatients. Our pediatric radiology faculty interpret all imaging modalities and perform fluoroscopic procedures. Faculty are encouraged to develop an area of special interest such as fetal MRI, cardiac imaging, MSK and oncology imaging. IR and neuroradiology are covered by separate divisions in our department but an interest in these areas is always welcome. We currently have five full-time faculty in the pediatric radiology division with an equal call coverage distribution. We cover fluoroscopy at our main hospital site and diagnostic studies remotely after hours. In addition to their clinical practice, all faculty participate in post-graduate and medical school instruction and teaching in a hospital setting. In addition, the PA/NP coordinates care with consultant services, recommends follow-up care, facilitates referral to various internal and external facilities and takes part in multidisciplinary continuous quality improvement. Our UMMC Adult Emergency Medicine provider group includes about 40 physicians and a growing number of PAs/NPs. Patients are seen in both the West and East Bank Emergency Departments, which house over 50 beds. Our group is focused on providing high-quality patient care and expanding the academic focus of the University of Minnesota Medical Center.
