Job Summary
The Strategy & Portfolio Management Analyst will be responsible for supporting a multitude of strategy-related activities, including Strategic Planning, Economics, Financial Modeling, Macro Environment, Peer Analytics and Ad-hoc Analysis as requested from Executive Leadership.
The Strategy & Portfolio Management Analyst will work in our Houston Corporate office and work up to two (2) days a week remotely, as business needs allow.
Responsibilities
* Supports the review and analysis of project economics related to Murphy's portfolio of projects and the development of the associated Long-Range Plan (LRP)
* Supports the optimization of Murphy's consolidated portfolio to efficiently allocate capital across different price environments, while accounting for different objective functions / constraints
* Prepare analysis for different types of Scenarios (e.g., M&A, Exploration Success, Hedging Strategies, Alternative capital structures, etc.)
* Translate certain strategic scenarios and assumptions into corporate pro-forma cash flow statements, income statements, and balance sheets; as well as key KPIs such as total shareholder return, leverage ratios, ROACE, NAVs, etc.
* Undertake research on relevant macroeconomic and market trends; some of which may be used in the annual Strategic plan that is prepared and distributed to the executive team and board of directors
* Own and execute ad-hoc requests that originate from executive leadership or the board of directors with minimal direction / guidance
* Perform quarterly & annual analysis on how Murphy is performing relative to other peers
* Prepare analysis for board of director / finance committee meetings which may involve summarizing regular work products as well as ad-hoc work
* Leverage third-party research and data platforms to supplement analytical deliverables
Qualifications/Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Planning or other STEM degree
* Minimum 6 years' experience of Economic/Financial Modeling
* Advanced: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

POSITION OVERVIEW

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assist Finance and Treasury teams including, but not limited to following tasks:
Support any and all day-to-day Treasury activities, including cash forecasting, margin activity related to commodity hedging and Cheniere's investment portfolio
Support any and all debt compliance functions, including managing the ongoing reps & warranties process for all of Cheniere's various financing agreements, DSCR calculations for our various credit agreements and lender monitoring
Prepare weekly Treasury Dashboard, Production Forecast Reconciliation, Commercial Forecast Reconciliation, and Month-End Curves Variance
Assist in preparation of Debt Trading Levels and Working Capital/Cash Balance Update
Support in financial forecasts as needed, including but not limited to preparing materials for forecast cycle kick off, uploading month-end curves, updating Asset models for new forecast assumptions, calculating & uploading manual forecast entries, inputting actual information (Gas Supply, Production, and Commercial Operations) CCL manual power entries, intercompany forecast elimination, and uploading tax forecasts
Assist in producing and enhancing quality of Financial Planning and Analysis CFO Dashboard, Budget, and Board slides
Maintain CQP EBITDA, DCF and FCF models and synchronize information with Strategic Finance
Perform analysis between actuals, budget and forecast from GAAP, internal reporting and cash model perspectives, on a quarterly basis
Develop and maintain positive relationships with accounting, commercial, construction and operations teams
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to complete assigned tasks
Develop and maintain positive relationships with banking representatives

EAG is starting the search for a Management Consultant to join our Consulting Delivery team.
The Management Consultant will guide clients through multifaceted transformations using EAG's methodology, from project planning to execution and final sign-off. The role will play a pivotal role in complex system implementations, divestitures, acquisitions, software selections, MDM, business intelligence, and data analytics projects.
Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team. All members of the EAG team are expected to actively participate in our team environment, communicate with our customers in a professional and service-oriented manner, and identify process improvement and optimization opportunities. As EAG continues to grow, members must be able to handle changing priorities, new challenges, and multi-tasking.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate client meetings, process/design workshops, user acceptance test sessions, and weekly status updates.
* Compile and monitor project metrics, and develop project deliverables.
* Collaborate with clients, third-party vendors, and EAG team members to identify and document desired functionality, business requirements, and supporting processes.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive project and communication plans.
* Support and nurture client relationships, addressing questions, issues, and roadblocks in a timely manner.
* Assist in the development and delivery of training materials and programs.
* Lead various phases of the project through to successful completion.

* Work at client site, typically Mon-Thurs each week.
Experience, and Educational Requirements (Minimum Qualifications):
* 4+ years of consulting experience or business analyst experience in the oil and gas industry.
* 4+ years of energy industry experience, including working knowledge of one or more of the following areas: Revenue Accounting, Production Accounting, Well Data and Drilling, Land Management, or Midstream.
* 4+ years of system implementation experience.
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
* Experience with data cleansing and/or conversion.
* Proficient in report design/development, testing, and defect resolution.
* Experience with integration design and development.
* Strong background in business requirements gathering and system testing.
* Proven ability to deliver end-user training.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
* Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (8 hours or more) in an office environment.
* Communication Skills (Speech/Reading): Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English. Ability to understand and deliver instructions in multiple formats, including written and verbal.
* Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 10 pounds as needed.
* Vision/Hearing Abilities: Capability to interpret a range of instructions presented in various formats (written, verbal, diagram, or schedule).
