As a Branch Ops Intern you will have the opportunity to:
* Become licensed and go through an accelerated version of the Assistant Branch Manager Program to learn the loan process and all necessary regulatory training.
* Assist in daily production of loan origination, processing, closings and fundings including allocating files for doc prep; auditing closed files; prep files ready to fund.
* Spend time with your Manager and Regional Vice President learning about responsibilities at their levels to understand the promotional path to see what your career potential is with Republic Finance.
* Attend regional meetings and/or workshops (as available during the intern's employment) to gain exposure to the larger Branch Operations division of the company.
* Learn about one or more Branch Operations process improvement related projects.
* Learn about corporate roles where Branch backgrounds are often strongly desired (Audit, Compliance, Training, Recruiting, etc.). We will also provide you with an overview of our benefits during the program.
Requirements

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a hands-on Investment Operations professional to lead and scale the operational infrastructure supporting our philanthropy-tech platform, Give. This role owns the end-to-end execution of donor-advised fund (DAF) operations, including grants, contributions, trading, and custodian coordination, while serving as a key problem-solver across Operations, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering.

Sanctions screening at the time of onboarding
Design and execute processes and policies for ongoing monitoring of accounts, including:
Account takeover prevention

Other fraud and security incidents investigations
Strengthen the AML Ops team to be aligned with the responsibilities we have as a financial institution.
Sophisticated reporting to immediately inform money-laundering or terrorism financing activity to the relevant authorities
Analyze AML Alerts, financial transactions, judicial orders, accounts, and data from the alerts generated by the AML transaction monitoring system, to identify suspicious situations and provide detailed recommendations.
Vendor Management (e.g., KYC providers)
We are looking for a person who has:
A Bachelor's, Master's, or Law degree is required in a discipline such as Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, or a Risk Management-related field.

Computer literacy.
Must pass pre-employment assessment, drug screen, credit, and criminal background checks.
Must be eligible and willing to obtain all required certification and licenses.
Preferred Qualifications
Major in Business related program preferred
Previous work experience in customer-facing environment.
Willingness to relocate for career advancement.
Valid Driver's License and access to a dependable automobile with liability insurance coverage.

Job Purpose
The purpose of the Branch Operations Intern is to assist in developing the branch's business, learn the consumer finance business, RM's business practices and to prepare to manage a branch office.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Complete training program within the required timeframe.
* Understand our personal loan product offerings in order to assist customers in making educated decisions that help them achieve their financial goals.
* Establish and build customer relationships through delivering exceptional service.
* Develop and deliver consolidation options for customers.
* Ability to learn how to underwrite loans.
* Work with past-due customers to arrange payments.
* Assist in maintaining standards in weekly delinquency reduction and delinquency slow file percentages.

The ideal Operations Intern will work closely with the Operations team and perform the following duties:
Reads and routes incoming mail. Locates and attaches appropriate correspondence to appropriate managers be answered by employer.
Conducts research as requested by supervisor.
Creates a wide variety of correspondence such as letters, memos, reports and spreadsheets from notes and oral instructions as needed.
Assists with other clerical and data entry duties as assigned.
Working with operations team on special projects as needed

Prepare document packages for imaging
Intern Qualifications/Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
