The HR Specialist supports the HumanResources department by efficiently managing a variety of administrative and operational tasks. The Director of HumanResources (HR) plays a key role in supporting the CAO and the obtainment of the cooperative's operational and strategic goals. The Successful Director, HumanResources will:
Lead the design, implementation, and administration of HR programs, including recruitment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training, education, performance management, and compliance.
Administer existing programs with excellence in all aspects of project management, including timeliness, accuracy, and measurable outcomes.
Monitor industry trends, identify opportunities, and recommend program enhancements that better serve DREMC Members and employees.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local labor and employment laws as well as cooperative policies, bylaws, rules, and regulations.
Direct and mentor HR team members to promote professional growth, accountability, and high performance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education - Bachelor's degree in HumanResources, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience - Minimum of 6 years of progressive HR leadership experience in the capacity of a manager or director; a strong preference for candidates in an electric utility cooperative or related industries. Prior experience working in a union environment is strongly desired.
Certification/License, etc. - Professional HR credentials (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred but not required. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Tennessee Driver's License. Must be eligible and remain insured as a driver by the Cooperative's group liability policy for the automotive fleet.

Job Purpose:
The Employee Relations Specialist will engage in the administration and execution of the employee relations function in collaboration with Employee Experience (EE) leadership and team members. Counsels members of management on a broad range of routine employee relations matters, including but not limited to, policy interpretation and application, performance concerns, progressive discipline, conflict resolution, leave cases, and investigations.
Primary Functions:
* Serves as the initial contact and liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints;
* Handles routine humanresource inquiries related to policies, including providing guidance on HR policy interpretation and application; refers complex matters to appropriate Employee Experience and/or management staff;
* Conducts initial interviews and gathers information for employee relations matters such as work complaints, harassment allegations, or other concerns; escalates to appropriate team members when additional investigation is required;

The ideal candidate will have:

Applying employment laws and organizational policies

Job Purpose:
The Employee Relations Specialist will engage in the administration and execution of the employee relations function in collaboration with Employee Experience (EE) leadership and team members. This includes assisting in the oversight of policies and procedures, employee counseling, investigations, conflict resolution, data analysis of trends, and metrics reporting. The Employee Relations Specialist works closely with business partners, management, leadership, and employees to create a positive work environment that supports organizational goals and objectives, while remaining in full compliance with all federal, state and local laws and OUC policies. Counsels members of management on a broad range of routine employee relations matters, including but not limited to, policy interpretation and application, performance concerns, progressive discipline, conflict resolution, leave cases, and investigations.
Primary Functions:
Serves as the initial contact and liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints;
Handles routine humanresource inquiries related to policies, including providing guidance on HR policy interpretation and application; refers complex matters to appropriate Employee Experience and/or management staff;

Manages the purchase and updates of mandatory labor posters at all OUC locations to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations;
Remains current on laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, ADA, FMLA, reasonable accommodations and broad humanresources topics from a federal, state, and local level;
Supports the preparation of plans, documents, and reports including but not limited to affirmative action plans, organizational charts, and employee policies;
Conducts employee exit interviews; creates and maintains reports and conducts analysis to identify issues that may have affected employee performance and success;
Collaborates with employee engagement team to gather data to identify patterns, trends and themes related to employee engagement and retention concerns;
Partners with payroll, HRIS and other related teams to complete unemployment requests and tracks the associated reporting;
Owns the update and maintenance of the repository for policies; collaborates with team to provide recommendations on policy changes;

- Follow all client site-specific duties, as required and outlined in post-orders.
- Work additional hours when necessary - fill open shifts, as needed.
- Adhere to the highest standards of ethical business conduct and compliance by acting lawfully, ethically, honestly and professionally in the performance of their jobs at all times as well as be in compliance with company policy and procedures as it relates to their job function.
- Assume responsibility for understanding and complying with Per Mar Security Services attendance expectations.
