Job Summary

Essential Functions
* Develop and implement a comprehensive Operations Readiness Plan aligned with project milestones and operational objectives.
* Ensure procedures, systems, training, and documentation (e.g., O&M manuals, start-up plans, permits) are in place and validated before handover.
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of operational staff to ensure competence and alignment with project timelines.
* Establish KPIs and readiness metrics to monitor progress of the restart and report to senior leadership and stakeholders.
* Prepare and present detailed reports on readiness assessments and recommendations for improvements.
* Perform thorough assessments and inspections of operations to ensure all systems, equipment, and personnel are ready for operation.
* Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous operations to optimize readiness and performance.
* Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and applying them throughout the restart phases.
* Deliver key operational and safety SOP's for Kinross leadership review to ensure operational readiness.
* Partner with the department leadership teams to develop schedules, employee retention and development strategies.
* Act as the key interface between the project team and the operations team to ensure seamless transition and ownership.
* Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, and Operations teams to ensure that all operational requirements are embedded in project deliverables.

Qualifications and Skills
* University degree in Operations Management, mining engineering, or related field.
* 12 years of related work experience, with experience in leading teams within the mining industry preferred.
* Detailed knowledge of all phases of mining and processing, along with the integration of the mining, milling/processing, and maintenance functions.
* Proven experience leading readiness programs for brownfield restarts or major capital projects.
* Experience in operations readiness, commissioning, or production operations in complex industrial projects (mining, offshore oil & gas, energy, or heavy industry).
* Strong understanding of safety (MSHA) and regulatory compliance.

What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.
Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.
Requirements (to be considered you must have the following):

Job Summary
The Project Coordinator will support the Curlew Basin Restart construction project for an estimated duration of 16 months. Reporting to the Project Engineer, this role provides high-level administrative and coordination support to ensure efficient project execution and contractor management.
Essential Functions
* Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Project Engineer and project team.
* Assist with contractor onboarding, tracking, and compliance documentation.
* Manage scheduling and coordinate project timelines, meetings, and deliverables.
* Maintain accurate records, correspondence, and reporting.
* Support logistical needs for contractors and project activities.
* Facilitate communication and coordination across contractors, project staff, and management.

* Assist in oversight of contractors performing work on surface and underground.
* Assist with maintenance activities in the underground workings and surface facilities.
* Assist with project management tasks as assigned.
* Assist in the operation and repair of the water treatment plant.

Qualifications and Skills
* Upper-level student in Mining Engineering.
* Enrolled in school for the Fall 2026 term; proof of enrollment required.
* Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher; transcripts required.
* Underground and surface MSHA training preferred.
* Able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, including drug and alcohol screening.
* Able to perform physical work in a demanding environment.
* At least 18 years of age and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
* Valid driver's license.
* Working knowledge of personal computers and common office software for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* General understanding of mining operations and a basic understanding of milling and maintenance operations.
* Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
* Ability to work independently and as a member of the management team.
