Job Description
T&M Associates is seeking a multi-talented Staff Engineer to join T&M Associates! This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer early in their career to learn and grow within the framework of an engineering consulting firm. Responsibilities would include providing support engineering services to various departments in the organization. We are accepting applications from May 2026 graduates who are eager to launch their careers with T&M.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in either Civil Engineering or related field is required.
1-2 years of related experience is preferred. Relevant internship experience can be substituted for experience.
Engineer in Training certification is preferred with the goal to obtain a Professional Engineer's License.
Exposure and some experience in GIS, AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential.
Detail oriented with a strong command of design principles and the ability to develop neat and accurate design calculations.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills are required.
Ability to work with peers and senior management and be a team player.
T&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws, including the New Jersey Equal Pay Act. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $72,000 - $85,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.

What You'll Do:
+ Assist engineers with a variety of water and wastewater system assignments
+ Field investigations required to support design/study assignments
+ Knowledge and research of regulatory/permitting requirements
+ Preparation of permit applications
+ Support design efforts associated with linear and water/sewer facility projects.
+ Research and evaluate processes and equipment
+ Assist with the Preparation of Technical Studies and Reports
+ Assist with Project Specifications
+ Perform financial analyses, cost estimating
+ Interface with clients, regulatory officials, and contractors as required
+ Attendance at client or public meetings, if requested
What You'll Bring:
+ B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering or a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on water/wastewater required
+ E.I.T. Preferred, PE a Plus
+ 2-5 years experience working in the field of Civil or Environmental Engineering. Prior water/wastewater experience is highly desired
+ Working with AutoCAD and Civil 3D will be required
