The Maintenance Engineer position is responsible for providing technical and maintenance services throughout the hotel to keep the hotel's general equipment and systems in excellent condition.

**RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned**
+ Provide technical support to all aspects of data center operations including the operation, maintenance and repair of all mission critical equipment and systems supporting a 24x7 data center operation to achieve 100% uptime and 100% compliance with all customer SLAs.
+ Assist in all site construction activity and installations, in coordination with QTS Development Team, external construction resources, to ensure system design, installation and testing adhere to operational standards. Witness testing of all equipment during commissioning and validate sequence of operations and receipt of all operational documentation.
+ Supports for all local customer installations, in coordination with Sales Engineering, Design & Construction and Colocation Operations to coordinate site technical solutions and drawings for customer move-ins and turn-ups, including deployments and power circuit installations.
+ Supports implementation and audit local standard operating procedures in conjunction with our Corporate Audit teams.
+ Support various accreditation, certification and compliance initiatives as may be required by QTS.
+ Maintain compliance with local health & safety (i.e. OSHA) standards and national electrical and building codes.
+ Interfaces with vendors, QTS Engineering, QTS Development and peer operations organizations.
+ Ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures (SOP), method of procedures (MOP), and emergency response procedures (ERP) established for the critical environments, as well as the formal change control process.
+ Participates in the technical review and input on plans for all significant planned and emergency maintenance events for the facility; ensures these activities are executed in a controlled and proven method to ensure the reliability of the critical loads supported by these systems.
+ Uses the Change Management Process to get approval for preventative and corrective maintenance. Commences & completes the maintenance along with the necessary documentation using the QTS process and software.

The successful incumbent(s) will join a multidisciplinary team of scientists and designers at the University of Georgia who are engaged in collaborations between IRIS and the Department of Defense, other universities, and public/private sector partners.
These projects are highly specialized due to the incorporation of natural infrastructure systems and nature-based solutions. The pay range for this full-time position is $174,750.00 - $293,590.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. NSC is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Lead Deployment Engineer with a passion for travel. This is a client-facing role, working on-site to plan, survey, deploy and verify the installation of WAN, LAN and WLAN equipment at client locations across the US as part of a nationwide deployment programme.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of leading small teams of engineers in network deployment activities, as well as undertaking pre- & post- installation wireless site surveys and is able to generate high-quality project documentation.
This role requires extensive travel across the United States, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that deployments run smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards. As the senior on-site representative for the project, you should be a team player, be a good communicator and inspire professional behaviour and exceptional service in every team member interacting with our clients.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute deployment of WAN, LAN and WLAN equipment according to defined standards and procedures
Lead small teams (approx 5) of field engineers to complete deployment activities
Conduct pre- & post- installation wireless site surveys and generate wireless site survey reports
Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted to the client before leaving the site
Ensure all activities are completed on-time and to a high level of quality
Be available to travel across the US to client locations to complete the deployments according to the programme schedule
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience leading teams in network deployment activities
Experience co-ordinating with on-site representatives of the client to ensure activities are completed on-time and to a high standard
Hands-on experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Meraki WAN, LAN and WLAN devices
Experience in performing all types of pre- & post- installation wireless site surveys using Ekahau surveying / spectrum analysis software
Passive, Predictive,
Experience producing high-quality, client-facing project documentation, including wireless site survey reports using Ekahau software
Familiar with 802.11 wireless LAN standards and technologies
Familiar with the variety of wireless AP antennas and their uses
Good understanding of general IP networking
Excellent written and spoken English skills
Required Certifications and Training:
Must have one of the following Ekahau certifications, and must be valid:
“Ekahau Certified Survey Engineer”, or
“Ekahau Certified Solutions Engineer - Design”
Must have completed the following Cisco training course:
Engineering Cisco Meraki Solutions 1 (ECMS1)
