Your impact
Design of roadways and drainage for KYTC (or other DOT clients) with the ability to perform geometric roadway design and assist in analyses, developing calculations, and preparing contract documents (PS&E) in accordance with state and local agency requirements
Working within a team of roadway engineers in the preparation of design and contract documents for transportation projects
Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope
Adaptability to partner with Lochner offices throughout the firm through work-sharing to deliver projects on-time and within budget.
Who you are
BS in Civil Engineering required.
Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
Candidate may report in-office or work a hybrid schedule. KY resident highly preferred.
5+ years of demonstrated experience in roadway design and plan preparation on transportation projects for DOT clients.
KYTC experience is preferred
Experience in Microstation required and OpenRoads designer is a plus
Drainage, stormwater and erosion control design experience is a plus
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Traffic modeling, roundabout design, drainage design and/or highway lighting design experience is a plus

* Work with shop, suppliers, and engineering colleagues to meet producibility and process capability targets.
* As the shop engineering representative, drive a high rigor into the manufacturing and design integration process and identify and drive manufacturing support activities to ensure long term on-time engine delivery.
