The Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Systems Engineering department within the Effectors Center of the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) organization is currently hiring a Systems Engineer II to join our Tucson, AZ location and support LADS Effectors product lines. The Systems Engineer II is a technical role contributing directly to the requirements development and decomposition of complex subsystems as well as developing the verification approach.
What You Will Do:
Develop and maintain requirements, systems architecture and design, updating and maintaining Interface definitions & description documents by collaborating with multiple IPTLs and SMEs to obtain necessary design information.
Gain SE technical expertise in development, integration, troubleshooting and failure investigations
Support technical discussions, and formulate plans of action by leveraging company Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across multiple engineering disciplines
Become proficient in creating and managing requirements using requirements management tools such as DOORS
Develop your skills in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using tools such as CAMEO and standards such as SysML or UML
Support peer reviews and formal release of contract deliverables for Systems Engineering artifacts.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
Demonstrated experience (through academic coursework, research, or professional roles) analyzing concepts of operations, requirements definition, decomposition, and changes.
Experience with communication, technical writings and/or oral presentations and leading technical solutions to complex user needs.
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
MS or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics

What You Will Do
In this Systems Engineer role, you may support the following types of activities:
Core Systems Engineering: Update, develop, maintain, and improve requirements, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces.
Perform Test Planning: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments and perform/execute the testing
Integrate Systems: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.
Create/modify documentation in support of reviews associated with formal testing, which may include Test Readiness Review (TRR), Consent to Ship (CTS), and Test Data Review (TDR) packages.

Present Findings: Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers.
