Instruct patients on how to use assistive devices (e.g., walkers, crutches, braces) and ensure safe usage. Provide emotional support to patients, offering encouragement and motivation throughout the rehabilitation process. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each patient's progress, including treatment details, outcomes, and changes in condition. Document patient interactions and report any significant findings to the supervising Physical Therapist. Assist in the development of progress notes and treatment summaries, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other legal and regulatory requirements. Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with the Physical Therapist, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients. Communicate effectively with other team members to provide the best care plan for the patient's rehabilitation. Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and contribute to modifying treatment plans as necessary. Equipment and Facility Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of physical therapy equipment, ensuring that it is in proper working order.
