The American Osteopathic Association (AOA) has two 100% remote 10-week summer research internship positions opening up. The internships are an opportunity to gain hands-on experience by assisting in research projects, engaging in literature reviews, data collection, data analysis, reporting, and potentially contributing to conference presentations and/or publications.
The Intern Research Associate program at the AOA is for those currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in fields such as psychometrics, measurement, statistics, l/O psychology, or data science. This fully remote 10-week internship beginning June 2026 involves working closely with experienced psychometricians and assessment experts. Interns will gain hands-on experience with AOA data and research projects that support the organization's mission of advancing the distinctive philosophy and practice of osteopathic medicine. The Certifying Board Services (CBS) department serves 73 certification and certificate programs across 15 specialty certifying boards.
Interns will work and collaborate with the psychometric and assessment teams of the CBS department to support the AOA's research agenda. The role provides an opportunity to support operational and research initiatives and offers practical experience in certification testing. Research topics may include exam design and development, administration and supportive validity studies for our certification and osteopathic continuing certification exams.
Responsibilities
Interns will work closely with the psychometric and assessment teams to develop a research plan for the internship.
Over the 10 weeks, interns will attend weekly meetings with their supervisor to discuss progress and address questions, and with one or more research project teams to discuss ongoing work.
Activities may include conducting and writing literature reviews, data gathering/cleaning, programming in R or Python, item and exam analyses with CTT and IRT, performing statistical analyses such as DIF or regression analysis, writing reports, and delivering presentations.
At the conclusion of the internship, all files and equipment will be returned to the AOA.

Application of AI in test assembly, content development, measurement and assessment fields
Detecting compromised exam content

Qualifications
Candidates must be actively pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Educational Measurement, Statistics, I/O Psychology, or a related field and have completed a minimum of 75% of required coursework towards their Master's or 50% of required coursework towards their Ph.D.
Recommendation of advisor, department chair, or other academic recommendation from current program of study
Familiarity with Item Response Theory (IRT), Rasch modeling, Classical Test Theory, DIF analysis, and psychometric principles
Intermediate programming skills in R and/or Python
Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail
Interest in educational measurement, certification testing, LLMs, or data forensics

Position Summary:

The Center's survey methodologists manage our American Trends Panel, a multi-mode, probability-based survey panel that is its primary source of survey data for U.S. public opinion research, as well as provide guidance for all of the Center's domestic public opinion research.
The intern works directly with the methodology team in designing, conducting and archiving the Center's surveys. Some typical tasks of our 2026 intern may include:
Reviewing questions to make sure they make sense to respondents who are completing surveys online or hearing them over the phone

How We Work
We have an ambitious team, spread all over the globe. We sync up on a monthly all-hands Zoom call, and most teams do a call together every 1-2 weeks. Everything else happens asynchronously, via Slack, GitHub, Linear, and Notion. That means you can pick the hours that work best for you, to allow you to be at your most productive.
During the research internship you work within the research team to extract deep knowledge from our data, collaborate with fellow researchers on academic research papers, and discuss ideas at academic Internet measurement conferences.
To thrive in this environment you'll need to have high levels of autonomy and ownership. You have to be resourceful and able to work effectively in a remote setup.
Responsibilities
We collect more than 75TB of Internet data every week, including BGP, DNS, ping and traceroute data from more than 1200 servers around the world. Our research team is at the forefront of analyzing and evaluating this data to ensure it finds its way into our producs - IP geolocation, VPN detection, our IP tags and more.
During the research internship you will be working on a well-defined research/data analysis project which allows you to collaborate with the research and data teams at IPinfo. The goal of the internship is to gather novel insights, gain new knowledge in data analysis, processing, and Internet measurements, and present your results within the group. During your internship at IPinfo you will be a full member of the research team. Towards the end of your internship you will be evaluating the results and assess possible publication venues (academic conferences, journals, published report,…). Skills and Experience

The Forensic Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship at Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System is offered through the Forensic Neuropsychiatry division of the Tulane Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The goal of the fellowship is to enhance and broaden the fellow's forensic assessment skills. Under supervision, fellows will conduct forensic evaluations at an inpatient forensic hospital (Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System - ELMHS) and in private cases. Fellows will perform a wide variety of forensic mental health assessments with forensic patients, incarcerated individuals, as well as those in the community.
A wide range of evaluations are requested at the ELMHS forensic state hospital and include: competency to stand trial (CST) evaluations, evaluations for malingering, psychodiagnostic clarification, intellectual and cognitive evaluations, and violence risk evaluations. Evaluees are justice-involved individuals who have been adjudicated not guilty by reason of insanity (NGRI) or deemed incompetent to stand trial by the court. Fellows will be responsible for selecting, administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological tests with the goal of writing high-quality integrated forensic reports.
Additional forensic assessment opportunities are available through conducting private evaluations in person in the greater New Orleans area and as a remote evaluator. The scope of evaluation questions are broad and come from referrals from attorneys, courts, and medico-legal professionals. Typical forensic cases will encompass both criminal and civil areas, although the majority of referrals are for criminal evaluations. Referrals include competency to stand trial evaluations, violence risk assessments, mitigation/resentencing evaluations, and trauma and PTSD evaluations in both federal and state court. A large portion of case referrals are for criminal responsibility evaluations.
Fellows will also have the opportunity to participate in administrative and clinical meetings, conduct forensic research, and when possible, supervise other trainees under the umbrella supervision of a licensed psychologist. Fellows will attend forensic training seminars and scheduled didactics, including landmark case seminars and expert witness seminars. The forensic fellow is responsible for leading the ACGME-required Forensic Journal Club/Research Seminar. Participation in the annual mock trial conducted jointly with the Tulane Law Clinic and the Tulane Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship is expected. Additionally, opportunities to observe a board-certified psychologist testify and receive supervision on report writing for court and discussion of expert witness skills is a frequent activity.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Completion of a Psy.D. or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in forensic psychology at an APA-accredited program by the start of the fellowship.
* Completion of an APA-accredited internship with an emphasis on forensic psychology by the start of the fellowship.
* Eligibility for state or provincial licensure or certification for the independent practice of psychology by the start of the fellowship.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES TYPICALLY NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY:

Blockchains are an excellent solution for storing data; however, the main limitation is performance when storing and querying the blockchain state in persistent storage (database). The blockchain node stores the data (state) in specific data structures in the database. The most commonly used databases by popular blockchains are RocksDB, LevelDB, LMDB, or the flavor of these DBs. The most commonly used data structures to store states are Ethereum Merkle trees, Consensys Bonsai trees, Erigon approach, Verkle trees, Avax Firewood, etc.
The person in this role would be required to study data structures for storing the MoveVM-based blockchain's current and archival state on the database. So the objective is to study data structures and the underlying storage layer, experimenting and benchmarking existing implementations such as Ethereum Merkle trees, Consensys bonsai trees, the Erigon approach, replacing Merkle trees with Verkle trees, other data structure-level innovations, and faster and more efficient access from the storage layer. Essentially, these tasks involve understanding the existing codebase, testing the existing codebase via mocks and drivers, integrating and testing the best-performing data structure and database with Supra Codebase, and even refactoring parts of the code when necessary. IDeaS' Internship Program provides students with real world experiences working on high visibility projects and challenging assignments. Our program facilitates opportunities to explore their field of study and make connections. As an R&D Intern on the Research team, you will be working with a mentor from our Advanced Analytics Team on new product development. The analytics team combines members from our research, software development and testing departments in a small, fast, and adaptive team. You will help develop and deliver scientific and pragmatic solutions covering a wide range of revenue science topics including forecasting, pricing and optimization for emerging needs in the rapidly changing world.
We have exciting opportunities to work with our experts in the field of applying generative AI and machine learning techniques to existing revenue management problems. Projects typically involve many opportunities for research, data exploration, solution prototyping, software development and testing.
What you'll be doing...
Preparing and analyzing data; identifying opportunities and problems; designing solutions and implementing those solutions
Communicating and presenting work to various audiences to explain functionality and/or benefit

What you'll bring to us…
Enrolled in Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. program in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Physics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field
As part of Ph.D. program, experience conducting research is preferred
Previous work in GenAI and machine learning is preferred
Interest in revenue science, general forecasting and estimation concepts
Excellent ability to identify and proactively solve problems (data modeling)
Comfortable with one or more programming languages (Java, Python or SAS)
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
Programming: Proficiency in Python (primary), with working knowledge of SQL and RESTful APIs
AI / Machine Learning: Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, RAG, and foundational ML concepts
Data Handling: Strong SQL querying skills, experience with Pandas for data manipulation, and ability to perform basic analytical tasks
Nice to Have…
Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agentic AI frameworks
Understanding of hospitality and revenue management principles
Background in time-series forecasting or demand planning
Familiarity with dashboarding and visualization tools (e.g., Streamlit, Plotly, Dash)

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch
Strong foundation in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Simulation, Reinforcement Learning
Ability to develop, train, and validate AI/CV/ML models
Experience in SOTA deep learning techniques, e.g. multi-modal foundational models
Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Track record of research excellence demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, or publications at top conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ICRA, IROS, etc.
