Position Purpose
We are currently seeking an MBA-intern to join Pohlad Future Ventures (PFV), a dedicated capital base focused on investing in new technologies across the Energy, Food & Agriculture, and Transportation sectors. The goal of this summer internship is for the candidate to prepare an industry research report on an assigned industry, containing proprietary analysis and ideas, tied to actionable PFV investment opportunities. While prior investment experience is not required, the candidate should identify as a "self-starter" with the ability to work independently on assignments and apply superior critical thinking skills to distill large amounts of raw data and other materials into a final deliverable. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and key contributor role, with significant guidance from the fund's Principals, while gaining experience in identifying and underwriting early and growth stage investments.
We are offering flexible arrangements to allow continuation of a graduate degree, if necessary.
Key Accountabilities
* Research and compile data related to target industries, competitive landscapes, areas of growth, investment opportunities and other relevant topics
* Summarize and analyze data; make recommendations related to research findings
* Report and explain complex findings, complete with written text and graphs illustrating data
* Deliver reports and presentations of findings to investment fund Principals
* Perform other related duties as assigned
