About our Prospect Research and Data Analyst position The Prospect Research and Data Analyst will support the development team by identifying, researching, and analyzing current and potential donors to help advance the organization's fundraising goals. The Prospect Research and Data Analyst will use donor research tools, interpretate data, communicate results, and support prospect strategy, contributing directly to major gift and comprehensive campaign planning, and they will analyze relevant data to set gift capacity and inclination ratings, develop research reports, and improve prospect management systems. What will you be doing! This role will also assist with maintaining the accuracy of the CRM and meeting the reporting needs of the Development Operations team. The Analyst will be tasked with improving data collection, information recording, and data reporting to grow a strong major giving pipeline. This role supports the fundraising efforts of Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawai'i, Alaska, Indiana, Kentucky (PPGNHAIK) as well as Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates (PPAA) - our C4 advocacy affiliate. Key Responsibilities: Conducting basic biographical, philanthropic interests, giving capacity, and relationship-map research on individual, corporate, and foundation prospects using public sources and subscription databases. Proactively identify new donor prospects through research tools/databases, industry news and other sources/methods to build and maintain a dynamic prospect pipeline for assigned development staff. Creating concise and accurate research profiles, event bios, and briefings for use by development staff and leadership. Maintaining and update donor records in the CRM system to reflect current prospect research and capacity ratings. Building reports in the CRM to identify new prospects for qualification, as well as track prospects' movement through the campaign pipeline. Monitoring news sources and alerts for philanthropic trends, major gifts, and prospect updates. Helping track and organize research and reporting requests and deliverables to ensure timely responses to team needs. Participating in team meetings and planning sessions to better understand fundraising strategy and contribute research insights. Assisting with data entry and data management, including creating and maintaining fund and donor records. Developing reports on fundraising team performance targets and service levels by creating and managing dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and to support budgeting and forecasting processes with data insights. Collecting and analyze data related to fundraising campaigns and donor behaviors. Monitor and track the performance of fundraising initiatives to identify trends and patterns in donor data to optimize fundraising efforts. Generating reports and visualizations to communicate data-driven insights. Ensuring ethical and confidential handling of all donor data in line with organizational policies and industry standards. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in donor prospect research and data analysis. Exceptional organizational, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
