    We are seeking an experienced and skilled Umbilical Mechanical Engineer II to join our dynamic Umbilical & Cable Systems Engineering team at our manufacturing and design facility in Mobile, AL. The Umbilical Mechanical Engineer II will actively contribute to design, manufacturing and delivery of subsea oil and gas umbilicals and distribution equipment under the guidance of a lead engineer. Key Responsibilities Support the design and development of subsea umbilical systems, inclusive of umbilical cross section, topside and subsea umbilical terminations. Assist lead engineering in management of all project technical deliverables while adhering to project budget and schedule. Function as deputy lead engineer as required to support the lead engineer and project team Assist in engineering specification of sub-supplied ancillaries such as dynamic bend stiffeners, bend stiffener connectors, buoyancy and ballast modules, and various clamp assemblies. Prepare engineering calculations and reports required for cross section design, end. termination strength, seabed stability, corrosion protection, accumulated plastic strain, sea fastening and any other project specific requirements. Assist with development of manufacturing plan and umbilical layout for most efficient manufacturing of the umbilicals. Provide support of all manufacturing activities including umbilical bundling and extrusion, termination, factory acceptance testing and loadout and installation. Support development of test samples and procedures for typical API 17E umbilical tests such as umbilical flex fatigue, tensile and torsional, end strength, bending stiffness, bundle impact, crush, internal friction and tensioner hold back testing. Produce technical project documentation to be delivered to and agreed upon with the client under the guidance and approval of the lead engineer. Prepare ship loose project material to be delivered with umbilical installation package. Provide technical support and troubleshooting during all phases of project execution.     The Project Manager / Civil Engineer will work with other engineers and CAD technicians on various civil, solid waste, and environmental related projects in our Daphne, AL office. The projects are challenging and provide unique design opportunities. You will be responsible for designing solid waste facilities that will enable LaBella to create sustainable, cost-effective solutions tailored to the specific needs of our clients. The projects are intricate and incorporate both civil and environmental engineering skills, including land development (grading and stormwater management); leachate collection, treatment, and management; renewable energy designs; and organic waste management. Brand new, already operational, and closed solid waste facilities face many different types of challenges - there is never a dull moment, nor is there a cookie-cutter solution that fits every similar situation.
