**Accomplish**
You will contribute in the research, design, analysis, manufacture, and testing associated with aircraft Support Equipment.
**Essential Functions** **:**
+ Mechanical design of test, measurement, and handling equipment used on military aircraft.
+ Gathering of data, requirements development, interfacing with suppliers, and performing basic stress and tolerance analysis
+ Acting as manufacturing liaison during build process of your project to ensure overall quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved
+ Development of test plans and performing environmental testing of Support Equipment
+ Testing and integration of manufactured Support Equipment on aircraft
+ Basic knowledge of design and analysis tools for mechanical design as well as basic drafting skills to include a working knowledge of solid modeling techniques (NX, Pro Engineer, or Catia).

Primary Level Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $105,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Principal engineers also serve as technical and professional mentors in their field.

Vulnerability Researcher/Reverse Engineer
Our team covers the full life cycle from emulation, reverse engineering, vulnerability research, and CNO/CNE tool development for various operating systems. Our mission covers a wide range of targets, anything from major consumer electronics to proprietary one-off systems. In addition, the position will provide deliverables for real-world use in relatively short turn-around times.
We seek a qualified engineer that has an expert level knowledge of C/C++code. This engineer will be relied upon to analyze source code for to find vulnerabilities. In addition, general vulnerability research, reverse engineering, development, testing, maintenance, and modification of complex classified and unclassified software applications.
Projects will be undertaken in small teams with close coordination with customers to quickly enhance capabilities or resolve issues in existing tools for real-world applications.
Required Skills
TS/SCI Clearance required
Practical knowledge of project execution
Ability to make enhancements to and develop software tools
Understanding of low-level programming concepts
Familiarity with stack frames, calling conventions, and memory management
Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP stacks, routing protocols, or others)

The candidate will have responsibility for design and/or integration of aircraft mechanical systems, including the development of mechanical architecture and source selection of components for an aircraft platform.
**Responsibilities and duties:**
+ The candidate will have responsibility for design and development of mechanical systems architecture (e.g., utility mechanisms, flight control systems, up-lock and down-lock systems, gear drive systems, etc.)
+ The candidate will have responsibility for specification and selection of aircraft mechanical systems components (e.g., electromechanical and/or hydraulic rotary/linear drive actuators, geared rotary actuators, door drive systems, etc.)
+ The candidate will have responsibility for qualification and certification of mechanical systems components
+ The candidate will provide support to lab testing and verification activities
+ The candidate will be responsible for integration activities, requiring coordination with stakeholders (Structural/Subsystem Design/Analysis Teams, Supplier Management Teams, Software Teams, Vehicle Management Systems Teams, etc.)
+ The candidate will be required to attend internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, well-organized with good problem-solving skills, able to perform effectively despite concurrent work tasks and will possess strong communication, leadership, team coordination and mentoring skills. The successful candidate will also thrive in an aircraft development design environment and be able to react and quickly adapt to changes in aircraft configuration.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) and 6 years of engineering experience or PhD and 4 years of engineering experience
+ Prior experience or familiarity with 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software applications
+ Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government **Secret** clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline
+ Experience with the specification, selection, and qualification of aircraft actuation hardware (electrically and hydraulically powered)
+ Aircraft mechanical systems design experience, including kinematic design/analysis and/or control systems logic
+ Familiarity with development of aircraft door/canopy actuation and locking mechanisms (e.g., crew entry, weapons bay doors, landing gear doors, and utility doors, including the development of in-flight door opening mechanisms)
+ Experience with NX CAD and Teamcenter PDM/PLM or equivalent engineering tools
+ Experience with Matlab/Simulink
+ Experience using MSC ADAMS and/or NX Motion Simulation

Primary Level Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
