Job Responsibilities Expectations: Perform project and drawing set up tasks in Revit and AutoCAD by creating discipline specific drawing sheet using the architectural base files Independently and accurately produce basic, intermediate, and advanced level mechanical/HVAC designs using AutoCAD and/or Revit in accordance with project scope Ability to carry out design project from design narrative thru permit drawing submission Independently and accurately prepare HVAC engineering calculations required to design plumbing systems, including sizing of source equipment and distribution systems Apply international and local building codes to assist in producing code compliant design documents Participate and provide QAQC review of design documents for your discipline of proficiency Lead and manage projects independently by communicating directly with clients to coordinate and align on scope of work Cross-functionally communicate with other engineering disciplines and team members to coordinate where they intersect Attend project meetings as need to ensure scope of work understanding Conduct site visits to survey and capture existing conditions and author report that illustrate and describe observations and findings Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members in the design and specification development of plumbing building systems Execute construction administration duties which include first level responses to RFI and Submittal review under supervision of senior engineering staff Attend and participate in engineering industry training, events, and/or continuing education to stay current on latest engineering concepts and technologies Qualifications: Must have at least 5 years of HVAC design experience in a relevant field of design, MEP preferred. Must be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, & Bluebeam Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited 4-year/university preferred.
