What this job involves:
The Critical Environments Operating Engineer is responsible for delivery of best practice systems and problem resolution on all data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure (UPS, MV electrical systems, generators, cooling systems etc.)
What is your day to day?
Responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and performing preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems to maintain 100% Up-time including: fire/life safety, mechanical systems such as (HVAC, chillers, crac, crah, plumbing, controls), electrical including emergency backup systems such as (lighting, UPS, ATS, STS, PDU, generators, primary switchgear, power distribution, transformers), and hot water systems.
Monitors operation, adjusts, and maintains refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment; boilers, and ventilating and water heaters; pumps, valves, piping, and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment.
Must record readings and make and adjust where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.
Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
Learn and understand the data center site in-order to manage incidents and events that put the critical systems at risk.
Work order management, including CMMS, Vendor Management, and Customer Facing Tickets.
Understanding and complying with emergency escalation procedures.
Perform additional job duties as required.

Physical Work Abilities & Requirements:
This position requires frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including:

Estimator/Manufacturing Engineer
Research and development engineer job in Saint Louis, MO
Cost Estimator Position Overview The Cost Estimator leads in the planning and development of budgetary estimates and quotations for equipment and tooling investment (hard cost) in support of both New Model and Business Plan engineering projects. The role involves utilizing analytical and technical skills to provide accurate cost projections, ensuring that projects are financially viable and competitive. Cost Estimators collaborate with various departments, contractors, and suppliers to gather relevant information and create detailed cost estimates. Cost Estimator Essential Functions
Collaborate with the sales department on reviewing potential new business for quote.
Prepare detailed sales estimates including labor and material requirements.
Build step by step estimate of process and associated cost to manufacture a given part.
Coordinate quoting of any raw material, components, tooling, and outside processes & establish consistent criteria for RFQ process.
Analyzes actual costs to validate estimating standards.
Participate in discussions for cost reduction during part design/development with customers.
Expand outside services list and qualified suppliers.
Look for internal cost savings opportunities in areas that may include raw material utilization, more efficient processing path, and alternative outside processing options.
Proficiency in an ERP system.
Performs other duties that may be assigned.
Cost Estimator Required Experience
Knowledge of costing methods, volume calculations, print reading, 3-D visualization.
Ability to write reports and correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, subcontractors, and employees.
Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry to practical cost estimating situations.
Ability to use computer software such as word processing and spreadsheets.
Knowledge of drafting programs which may include AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Research and development engineer job in Saint Charles, MO

+ Define, document, and implement new and modified manufacturing processes.
+ Provide line support for assembly operations, including transport, welding, coatings, and finishing processes.
+ Create and maintain detailed process documentation for manufacturing processes.
+ Design, source, and manage tooling and equipment projects.
+ Gather and organize data for projects requiring capital investment.
+ Follow procedures for the creation and control of fixtures, lifting devices, and material handling equipment.
+ Lead customer groups on factory tours.
+ Apply advanced manufacturing engineering skills, such as Lean and Theory of Constraints.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

Work Environment
The role involves working in both office and manufacturing floor settings, primarily in the steel plant, with some projects in the aluminum plant. The team consists of approximately 8 engineers and 3-4 technicians. This is a union shop, so effective communication and relationship building with operators are essential. Opportunities exist for implementing new ideas and managing personal projects in a company committed to automation and growth. The company is family-owned, with no layoffs during challenging periods, offering stability and potential for upward mobility.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.65/hr.
