Key Responsibilities:
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of injection molding machinery and other mechanical systems, implementing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Injection Molding Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Monitor the performance of injection molding machines, ensuring they are operating at peak efficiency and meet production requirements.
Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Conduct regular inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure machinery and equipment operate without issues.
Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, ensuring production continuity. Work with the production and engineering teams to identify and resolve mechanical issues that impact production schedules.
Process Optimization: Collaborate on process improvements to enhance efficiency and equipment reliability. Identify opportunities for process improvements, such as modifying mechanical systems to increase efficiency or reduce waste.
Project Management: Manage installation, upgrades, and integration of new equipment. Evaluate and recommend machinery upgrades or replacements to maintain high-performance standards in the plant
Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Provide detailed reports on the performance and status of machinery, including maintenance recommendations and downtime reports.
Team Support: Provide training and guidance to maintenance technicians and support a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for the maintenance team on new systems, procedures, or equipment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gears, and molds used in injection molding.
Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems used in injection molding processes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and quickly address issues..
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production demands.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
