Product Development and Commercialization: You will develop new products and line extensions, transforming concepts from bench-top development to full commercialization. Additionally, you will run production tests at manufacturing plants to refine formulations and enhance product quality while utilizing an online formulation database to create or adjust product formulations for optimal performance.
Testing and Evaluation: You will conduct pilot plant tests to develop product prototypes, carefully documenting findings and organizing product reviews for thorough evaluation. Additionally, you will provide both verbal and written updates on project progress to keep stakeholders informed and ensure successful development.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support: You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, Engineering, Quality, and Process Control, to drive successful product development. Additionally, you will support R&D team members by assisting in the creation of product prototypes as needed.
Regulatory and Documentation Management: You will maintain accurate project files, formulations, specifications, and product data to ensure consistency and precision in development. Additionally, you will continuously enhance your product development skills through training and hands-on experience, ensuring compliance with USDA/FDA regulations and industry standards.
WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Animal Science, or similar, relevant field of study and 2+ years of relevant plant manufacturing experience in the meat processing industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
Candidates with a Master's degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Animal Science, or similar, relevant field of study from an accredited four-year college will be considered qualified in lieu of experience.
Strong scientific knowledge of meat, non-meat ingredients and their functionality. Able to work with pilot plant equipment with minimum supervision.
Proficient in on-line work systems and product development software tools.
Continuously improves and updates food/meat science and product development skills and understands all aspects of current plant process systems.
Ability to multi-task; strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills.
May require travel up to 40% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES
This candidate will have the opportunity to execute mechanical design of various project types while working and coordinating with clients and design leads from all disciplines, as well as serve as the daily lead on smaller projects. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 4 years of experience in facility HVAC design, particularly using Autodesk Revit for drawing development.
Experience in mechanical design for larger industrial and commercial buildings is preferred, with experience in mission critical design a plus.
Experience working across the entire construction process, from schematic design through construction administration, including review of submittals and shop drawings, and field work such as existing condition surveys, site observations, and punch lists.
Experience leading small mechanical design teams and having some client interface experience is preferred.

LOCATION

Position
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and improvement of composite part fabrication processes, methods, and tooling. Position may include design of tools, shop floor manufacturing support, process development and introduction of new products.

Manufacturing Engineering Responsibilities
* Development of tools, processes, machines and equipment to integrate the facilities and systems for producing quality product with the optimum expenditure of capital.
* Shop floor support
* Responsible for applying and establishing statistical methods, which control the process and maximize productivity.
* Work Instructions/BOM creation
Required Qualifications
* Detailed understanding of GD&T.
* Experience in Work Instruction creation.
* Proficient in verbal and written communication skills; able to prepare technical documents to be sent to customers.
* Implementation of continuous improvements by the use of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen methods.
* Reviewing drawings, models, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures and activities.
* Establishment of sequences of operations to fabricate and assemble composite products that promote efficient utilization of equipment and labor.
* Implementing and improving new manufacturing processes.
* Experience in establishing qualification plans, in order to qualify processes and equipment to the customer specifications.
* Capable of designing or defining the requirements for the development of equipment, robotics, Lay-up molds, Vacuum Holding Fixtures, Shop Aids, Positioning fixtures, Go-No-Go inspection tools required for the manufacturing of new products.
* Capable of performing safety, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), Process Capability and Total Product Maintenance (TPM) for new and existing equipment.
* Understanding basic industrial engineering practices, such as, time studies, statistical analysis, ergonomic impacts, and value engineering principals.
* Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Experience with Catia V5, Inventor, Solid Works, or other 3-Dimensional CADs required.
* Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
* ERP system experience
Preferred Qualifications
* Composite part fabrication experience.
* Experience with composite process and specifications of thermoset and/or thermoplastic parts and structures.
* Ply shape flat pattern development.
* Tool Design experience.
* Knowledge of Boeing and Airbus process and specifications.
* Familiar with composite autoclave or oven curing cycles, thermal profiles, recipes, thermal effects, thermal expansion, wrinkles and tooling spring back effects.
* Five to Seven years of aerospace engineering preferred.
