DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop positive, meaningful, and sustainable relationships with program participants, members, donors, and volunteers Develop positive relationships with school principal and staff Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children under program supervision Take daily attendance and see that each child is signed in and out by a responsible party each day Effectively plans and leads programs, services, and activities for program participants Prepare and distribute USDA and HEPA approved snacks and/or meals to participants Perform daily count of meals and snacks served Report all injuries and incidences to the site coordinator Display YMCA character values (Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility) Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must stay current in CPRPR/AED/O2 and First Aid certifications, renewed annually, YMCA provided if needed Must complete Redwoods Trainings within 30 days of hire and renewed annually Coursework in Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field Job consists of working with early childhood up to school age children and requires participation in activities with all age groups Must have an interest in and like children and exemplify and support the YMCA philosophy Must exemplify and support the philosophy of the YMCA Must be 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED Salary Description $12.00 per hour
