As an intern within our Research and Development organization you will have the opportunity to independently manage and conduct all technical functions of a small research project, as well as analyze data and report on key findings. You will also complete literature research related to assigned project, preparation of samples and the gathering of analytical measurements. SUMMARY:
Tyson Foods is looking for interns for Summer 2023 to join our Research & Development (R&D) teams. As an R&D intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in product development. You will work closely with food scientists by assisting in the development of new products and processes for beef, pork, or chicken and revision of current products in order to improve product quality, profitability and competitiveness. You will be assigned specific projects at the beginning of the summer to help find solutions for true business needs and conclude with a brief report and presentation on the results of your project at the end of your internship. The length of the internship will range from 9-14 weeks. R&D Interns can be located in either Springdale, AR or Downers Grove, IL. This is a summer internship and will require approximately 40 working hours per week.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Candidates should be currently enrolled in school as a junior or senior undergraduate planning to attend graduate school, or a current graduate student. Poultry Science, Animal Science, and Food Science majors preferred.
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills and the ability to multi-task. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
