Under General Supervision, the Harvest Research & Development (R&D) Enologist Intern is responsible in assisting in all aspects of research wine production focusing on daily winemaking operations. The intern will help support all R&D experiments that will produce higher quality wines, develop wine styles that will meet customer requirements, and create greater operational processing efficiencies. About the role: The Computational Biology group at 10x Genomics is looking for an outstanding intern to work with us in the summer of 2026 for our Xenium product. This person will investigate and develop approaches on Few-Shot Learning for adapting a pre-trained cell segmentation model to a much wider range of cell morphologies, using only a very limited amount of annotated samples. They will work closely with our imaging and assay-development teams to push the state-of-the-art in spatial transcriptomics. The intern will be involved in selecting, implementing, testing, and optimizing models for the purpose of few shot learning, rapidly prototyping methods for internal experiments and early R&D. Interns will work on a mix of “real-world” product features that will ship to customers soon, and longer-term exploratory proof-of-concept work to test new ideas. About Our Team Sandia/California's Thermal/Fluid Science and Engineering Department is a multidisciplinary group of engineers and researchers who specialize in fluid mechanics and heat and mass transfer. What Your Job Will Be Like We are seeking a summer R&D undergraduate intern to help with our formal methods research and development. As an intern in Sandia's Digital Foundations and Mathematics Department, you will help advance formal methods computer science projects under the direction of Sandia technical staff. On any given day, you may contribute to activities in one or more of the following: * Formal Systems Specification and Model Based Design * Formal verification of systems software (compilers and firmware) and hardware designs * Mathematics related to computer science (e.g. Category Theory, Algebraic Geometry) * Software development and modeling of embedded control systems Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite. Qualifications We Require You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements: * Currently attending and enrolled full time in the spring term immediately preceding the internship (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in an accredited undergraduate program * Pursuing a science, engineering, or math major * Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 * Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer * Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship Note: If you have not earned a HS diploma or equivalent, please apply to a high school intern position.
