Corteva sponsors a variety of internships in agricultural research across many field research locations in the Southern and Central US, including the states of Iowa, Missouri, Mississippi, and Tennessee. These research locations conduct crop protection/health product characterization activities. As a CHRD Field Sciences Intern at one of our research locations, you will have the opportunity to obtain diverse experiences across crop protection/health product development. Position duration varies depending on location but typically lasts throughout the summer for three to six months. Possible locations include: Myakka, FL, Johnston, IA, Bethany, MO, Belden, MS, York, NE, Memphis, TN, and Raleigh, NC. Responsibilities - What You'll Do: You will work as part of a team in one or more of the following research areas: field plot management, product characterization, phenotyping tasks associated with crop protection/trait product development, and/or digital ag projects. You will assist Field Scientists located at either one of our dedicated research centers or from a home-office environment in the assigned geographic region. Intern positions provide excellent experience that can be applied to full-time positions in the industry, or in preparation for additional graduate level training in the plant sciences. Qualifications - What You'll Bring: Priority will be given to students that are at least current sophomores at an accredited university. Interns can be undergraduate or graduate students. Educational focus in Agronomy, Plant Physiology, Plant Pathology, Genetics, Biology, Horticulture, Entomology, Weed Science, or a related agricultural field highly desired Agricultural background beneficial Preference will be given to students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 Must be enrolled for the upcoming semester/quarter at an accredited university at the time of internship Candidates need to have a valid driver's license with a good driving record and must be able to pass drug and criminal background checks The salary range for this position is $21.00 to $23.00. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Valmont's internship program provides a hands-on learning experience through project work, leadership development, job shadowing, and interaction with senior leaders across the company.
