Summary/Objective- The R&D Lab Technician is responsible for testing materials and products for the purpose of defining and meeting regulatory and quality standards as requested, including but not limit to in-house testing, 3

party tests, sample trials, etc.
Essential Functions
· Perform lab testing / trials on raw materials, formulas, finished products, packed goods, etc., via sampling, mixing, running trials with processing engineers, operating testing equipment (pH meter, water activity meter, etc.).
· Record testing data and perform preliminary analysis.
· Record detailed testing results, findings, and summaries; draft proper and comprehensive test reports as needed; obtain necessary information from cross-function teams to include in the reports as needed.
· Handle and manage regular raw materials NPIC use for R&D testing purposes; manage and store unique raw materials for various potential projects and maintain proper and up-to-date records.
· Manage finished products storage and inspection and keep up-to-date records.
· Summarize, analyze and/or collaborate with 3

parties to determine/recommend specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, measuring instruments, etc., with, but not limited to, data, manuals, materials, and 3

party expertise.
· Clean, maintain, calibrate, repair instruments and test equipment as needed.
· Assist with on-going cross-functional projects and all R&D initiations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Ownership & Vision:

Translate business and advertiser needs into productized targeting capabilities such as “in-market,” “behavioral intent,” “lookalike,” and exclusion logic features.
Create scalable audience frameworks that can extend across Leon's other verticals (healthcare, real estate, financial services, and investment).
2. Data Science & Engineering Integration:
Manage relationships with third-party AI/ML partners (“engineering as a service”), such as ZS, ScienceSoft, Intellias, or Tredence, aligning external capabilities with LHP's product roadmap.
Partner with internal and external data science teams to develop signal processing, model training, and audience performance frameworks.
Oversee the ingestion, cleaning, and governance of first- and third-party data used for audience intelligence.
3. Experimentation, Measurement & Optimization:
Design and evaluate large-scale A/B tests and experiments that quantify the causal impact of targeting changes on ROI, conversion, and patient acquisition.
Build and maintain attribution and lift measurement systems, integrating deterministic and probabilistic methods.
Collaborate with econometrics and analytics teams to validate impact and optimize audience precision.
4. Privacy, Compliance & Governance:
Lead a privacy-first approach to audience intelligence, balancing personalization with compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, post-IDFA, CCPA).
Establish standards for data handling, consent, and anonymization.
Partner with compliance, legal, and marketing science leaders to embed ethical safeguards into all audience systems.
5. Collaboration & Enablement:
Work cross-functionally with Growth, Marketing Science, Analytics, and Engineering teams to operationalize targeting strategies.
Translate complex ML outputs into actionable frameworks and dashboards for marketing activation.
Enable performance marketers and brand teams to test, measure, and iterate audiences with agility and precision.
Technical & Analytical Expertise:
Deep understanding of data taxonomy, signal engineering, and event-based tracking (pixels, SDKs, conversion events).
Working knowledge of auction dynamics (bid, relevance, expected action rate) within major ad platforms.
Proficiency with SQL and Python (or R) for data extraction, modeling, and exploratory analysis.
Familiarity with machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, CausalML, DoWhy) and modern experimentation frameworks.
Experience with growth experimentation and analytics tools such as Amplitude, Optimizely, Looker, or equivalent.
Strong appreciation for privacy-first attribution and signal-loss mitigation in a post-cookie, post-IDFA landscape.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

About The Role
This Scientist II will formulate a wide range of personal care products incorporating the company's cosmetics raw materials. Develop new formulas using existing and new technologies in the personal care product area to support company-wide growth and future brand strategies. Ensure that formulas meet expected performance, safety, and regulatory requirements so that they can be produced in manufacturing. Experimentation on the bench with conventional and/or non conventional/creative approaches with new formula bases, raw ingredients and processing techniques that will lead to unique product claims and benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Knowledgeable experienced formulation of a variety of personal care products, cosmetics, and OTC from concept to finished product.
Determine and perform the design of experiment to evaluate new and/or alternate raw materials through bench trials
Creating innovative formulations in a capable affective manner to answer trends in the market and meet project requirements.
Proactive about meeting business needs and providing solutions with minimal guidance.
Conduct stability testing to ensure formula and/or formula/package robustness. Prepare laboratory batches for studies and evaluations
Develop specifications for new and/or reformulated products, ensuring product quality.
Serve as Lab Applications representative on cross-functional teams.
Remain up to date and current on trends in the retail market and trends on formulations materials, ingredients, cost, etc.

Job Summary
The Levi Laboratory is located in the Department of Surgery at UT Southwestern and lead by the Principal Investigator, Dr. Benjamin Levi. The Levi Laboratory is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented ResearchTechnician II to join our collaborative team for a minimum two-year commitment. Our research focuses on musculoskeletal injury, repair, and regeneration. The successful candidate will contribute to a variety of ongoing projects and gain hands-on experience in both in vivo and in vitro models. Responsibilities will include animal handling, genotyping, surgical assistance in animal models, histological processing, immunohistochemistry, and confocal microscopy.
Prior experience in a molecular biology laboratory is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities and Laboratory Expectations
Perform animal breeding, genotyping, handling, and surgical procedures.

In-depth experience with IC50 and Kd determination, enzyme potency assays, protease and proteolytic hydrolysis, ligand-binding affinity measurements, and enzyme kinetics.
Proficiency in techniques such as fluorescence, isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), protein purification, and potency assays for protease casein activity.
Chemical Testing and Sample Handling:
Experience in dealing with chemical isolation from tissues, as well as homogenization of tissues (adipose, liver, kidney) using appropriate buffers.
Mastery of solid-phase extraction (SPE) techniques for purifying certain chemicals from tissue extracts, including adipose, liver, and kidney tissues.
Skilled in the determination of developing and validating assays using advanced analytical techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS/MS, and/or GC-MS.
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
Expertise in molecular techniques such as Western blotting, PCR, and immunohistochemistry for the analysis of proteins and enzymes in biological samples.
Familiarity with microscopy (light, fluorescence, and electron) and histology, including tissue staining, sectioning, and slide preparation.
Strong skills in data analysis, including statistical methods and data interpretation, with the ability to compile and review comprehensive scientific reports.
Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, spectrophotometers, automated analyzers, and liquid handling robots, with an ability to troubleshoot and maintain lab instruments.
Deep understanding of regulations and testing standards, ensuring compliance with quality control and assurance protocols.
Education and Experience:
Ph. D. in Biochemistry.

The ResearchTechnician will be responsible for light administrative aspects of running the laboratory (scheduling, record-keeping, etc) and be actively involved in laboratory research (molecular biology, biochemistry, and collaboration with mass spectrometry professionals) under the supervision of the principal investigator. Excellent judgment and problem solving skills are required for triaging solutions, identifying and executing troubleshooting efforts, and planning equipment and resource use. Expertise with basic molecular biology techniques and working with mice is highly desirable.
This is a grant funded position, and continued employment is contingent on the availability of funds.

Minimum Education and Experience

* Candidates with strong background in performing molecular and cellular assays will be preferred (i.e. flow cytometry, molecular cloning, Western Immunoblotting, PCR and qPCR).
An interest in independent research projects, including authorship on publications and presentation at national conferences, can be arranged if desired.
