Position Summary
Oversee the development of new products, research emerging products, processes, and trends, and identify and evaluate third party co-packers.

**Work Arrangement**

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 112,000 and USD $ 224,400 per year.

**Detection Physics**

**Disruptive Technology**

**Security, Credentialing, and Eligibility Requirements**
As a national laboratory, PNNL is responsible for adhering to the Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) and Department of Energy (DOE) Order 473.1A, which require new employees to obtain and maintain a HSPD-12 Personal Identify Verification (PIV) Credential. To obtain this credential, new employees must successfully complete the applicable tier of federal background investigation post hire and receive a favorable federal adjudication. The tier of federal background investigation will be determined by job duties and national security or public trust responsibilities associated with the job. All tiers of investigation include a declaration of illegal drug activities, including use, supply, possession, or manufacture within the last 1 to 7 years (depending on the applicable tier of investigation). Overview and Responsibilities The Yoon Lab within the Aging & Metabolism Research Program at Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and responsible ResearchTechnician to join the team. This position will play a key role in achieving the mission of the lab. We aim to discover cellular and molecular mechanisms of mitochondria-associated neurological diseases. To do this, we implement an experimental pipeline that leverages the combined power of clinical data, genomics analysis, and studies using Drosophila models and patient-derived stem cell models.
We have discovered 5 novel Mendelian mitochondrial diseases including the Harel-Yoon syndrome and the Yoon-Bellen neurodevelopmental syndrome that bear my name (PMID: 27640307; PMID: 32004445; PMID: 33845882; PMID: 28017472; PMID: 34800363). We already established numerous disease models in Drosophila and human iPS cells. Last 5 years, I have trained many students to perform Drosophila genetics, iPS experiments, and molecular and cell biology. Many of them could participate in important studies and be coauthors of articles. We anticipate that motivated students will contribute to publishing new Articles!
Responsibilities will include:
Conducting genetic experiments associated with Drosophila models and/or conducting cell culture experiments with downstream assays such as Western blot and RNA experiments.
Detailed documentation of experiments and results.
Participation in lab meetings.
Minimum Requirements
BS/BA degree in one of the biological sciences, physics, chemistry, or related area, or equivalent years of relevant lab experience.
Must be detail-oriented and work independently as well as a team player.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and protocols/procedures.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Proficient in computing basic mathematical operations, i.e., rate, ratio, percent, molarity, and unit conversion.
Strong organizational skills with ability to perform precise and accurate work when dealing with samples and chemicals.
