**About the role**
ETS is seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager of Research Proposal Development to lead the end-to-end proposal process for federal and non-federal funding opportunities. This role is central to advancing ETS's mission by securing resources that fuel innovation across the ETS Research Institute and enterprise-wide initiatives.
You'll manage a high-volume pipeline of proposals, guide researchers through complex funding landscapes, and ensure every submission meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and impact.

Strategic leadership
+ Serve as a trusted advisor to researchers, guiding engagement with program officers and navigating regulatory requirements-especially with NSF, IES, and other key agencies and foundations.

Proposal development & pipeline management

+ Maintain proposal calendars and assign writers based on expertise and capacity.
+ Manage a pipeline of 40-60 proposals annually using Salesforce and grants management tools.
+ Support proposal drafting, including boilerplate content, staffing charts, budget justifications, and organizational materials.
+ Repurpose technical documentation for future opportunities when appropriate.
Quality control & compliance
+ Review and edit proposals for clarity, consistency, and alignment with funder requirements.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines, including FAR and agency-specific standards.
+ Proactively identify and resolve compliance issues, keeping leadership informed of risks and solutions.
Monitoring & reporting
+ Track proposal outcomes and lead post-submission reviews to drive continuous improvement.
+ Provide regular status updates and maintain RFP distribution lists.
Budget & grant management Draft proposal budgets and narratives aligned with ETS best practices.
+ Implement process improvements, including external proposal platforms.

POSITION SUMMARY
A Research and Development (R&D) Post License Scientist (level dependent on experience) will be responsible for performing experiments and tasks in support of R&D projects involving vaccine research for various diseases in multiple species to address customers' needs. In particular, the scientist will be responsible for conducting, modifying, and developing immunological assays, as well as supporting other teams within R&D and throughout the company. JOB DUTIES

The base salary range for this role is $127,440 to $159,300. Base salary is part of our total rewards package which also includes the opportunity for merit-based salary increases, short incentive plan participation, eligibility for our 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances and leaves provided in line with your work state. Our robust time-off policy includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays plus additional time off for a shut-down period during the last week of December, 80 hours of paid sick time upon hire and each year thereafter. POSITION SUMMARY
The Snake River Headwaters Watershed Scientist will complement ongoing TU water policy and project work in the Upper Snake River Basin. This scientist will identify, implement, and oversee various research, modeling, and data visualization projects that will provide insight into real-time and science-backed water supply forecasts and water budgets, as well as opportunities for flexible management of the water resource in ways that can benefit coldwater fisheries and their ecosystems. The Watershed Scientist will work closely with the Wyoming Water Policy Advisor to develop communications, recommendations, and outreach related to water supply and flow management. The Watershed Scientist's contributions will shape flow decisions, safeguard native cutthroat trout, and strengthen TU's water policy leadership across the Upper Snake River Basin.
This work will require an individual who is action and solution-oriented, works well with diverse stakeholders and personalities, and can support the overarching policy goals of Trout Unlimited. Candidates for this position will need to demonstrate experience with and enthusiasm for using actionable science and collaboration with agency, academic, and nonprofit partners to achieve conservation goals.
Requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Advance TU's reputation in the region as a science-based leader in water, hydrology, and climate.
Create and support watershed-specific tools related to surface and groundwater systems, including effects of usage demands, aquifer recharge, weather forecasting, water rights, interstate compacts, and flow augmentation within a complex reservoir system.
Provide guidance on development of watershed-specific data dashboard for the Snake River Headwaters Watershed Group (SRHWG), including input on contractor selection and scope of work.
Serve on core team to maintain the SRHWG data dashboard, supporting requests from SRHWG member organizations.
Identify and oversee on-the-ground research projects and monitoring.
Engage in future water budgets and basin studies influencing water management, water storage, and fisheries health in the Upper Snake River Basin.
Support groundwater recharge studies in the Salt River watershed to address upper Salt River dewatering.
Work closely with state and federal agencies and nonprofit partners to implement research and data visualization projects, collect field data for project development and monitoring, and secure permits. This includes leading and participating in scientific publications, communications, conferences, and other initiatives.
Collaborate frequently with other TU policy, project, science, and engagement staff.
Administrative duties include grant reporting, invoicing and tracking project budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in hydrology, watershed science, geosciences, engineering, earth science or related field OR Master's Degree in one of these fields and at least four years of post-degree experience.
In addition to area of graduate specialty, broad knowledge of fundamentals in (1) stream ecology, fisheries biology, fluvial geomorphology and riparian ecology; and (2) groundwater-surface water interactions, including managed and incidental aquifer recharge.
Demonstrated performance in working with complex datasets and statistical models, specifically related to water supply and water budgets across large river systems; competency in R programming language for statistical computing and data visualization (and associated programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and/or Java).
Experience working with a diverse range of sensors, datasets, and statistical models.
Experience with regional climate forecasting and process-based models.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple and diverse partners in a highly collaborative and inclusive manner, even on contentious issues.
Experience synthesizing and advancing science around complex issues into digestible outreach and guidance.
Proven ability to collaborate or co-produce with other researchers, agencies, academic institutions, and stakeholders in applied research, process-based models, scientific communication, and publications.

Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Degree: physical sciences, life sciences, or engineering that included 30 semester hours in chemistry, supplemented by course work in mathematics through differential and integral calculus, and at least 6 semester hours of physics.

JOB TITLE:
Research Associate I
JOB PURPOSE:
Conduct investigative research requiring the application and analysis of standard tests and procedures as defined by the project.
Independently and collaboratively conduct laboratory experiments, primarily in the C. elegans system, to publish papers and complete NIH-funded projects designed to understand the organismal, cellular, molecular, and genetic control of animal development and underlying cellular and biochemical processes.

Perform standard designated procedures associated with experiments/projects; interpret and analyze results; multi-task experimentally as necessary, and present data in organized form.
Review up-to-date scientific literature extracting information relevant to ongoing, proposed, or possible research projects.
Learn, develop and utilize new techniques that facilitate research goals by consulting literature or other University personnel including faculty, students and research assistants.
Provide written and oral progress reports to supervisor and research group
Carry out genetic manipulation in the
C. elegans
model system including conducting genetic crosses, transgenics requiring microinjections, and CRISPR/Cas9 methods
Conduct phenotypic analyses of
C. elegans

Job Duties
Samples and conducts all levels of tests and trains others to perform standard tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
Ensures proper sample management including sampling, maintaining sample integrity, and sample retains.
Ensures testing is carried out per established methods/procedures.
Records, reports, and certifies results.
Reviews result submissions from various labs for accuracy and off-spec issues.
Develops and implements new methods/procedures.
Maintains and continuously improves SQC program including precision and accuracy charting and proficiency testing.

Individual Placement - Bio Science Technician with FWS

The incumbent serves as a biological science technician (Bio tech) for the Saratoga National Fish Hatchery. Incumbent main responsibility is to assists with the Wyoming toad-rearing program. Incumbent will also assist with other fish hatchery duties. Other hatchery duties include but are not limited to feeding, cleaning raceways, spawning, and other duties as required. The Wyoming toad program consists of a breeding population of about 110 toads and a toadlet population of approximately 900. This position will be responsible for the daily care of these toads from hatching eggs to the release of adults the following year. The toad building consists of 76, 45-gallon tanks holding the toad population. The new Bio tech. will be responsible for feeding the toads, cleaning of tanks, and raising insects to feed the toads. Incumbent assists with the Wyoming toad-rearing program and assists in record keeping for all aspects of toad culture and husbandry.

POSITION SUMMARY
A Research and Development (R&D) Post License Scientist (level dependent on experience) will be responsible for performing experiments and tasks in support of R&D projects involving vaccine research for various diseases in multiple species to address customers' needs. In particular, the scientist will be responsible for conducting, modifying, and developing immunological assays, as well as supporting other teams within R&D and throughout the company. Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Degree: physical sciences, life sciences, or engineering that included 30 semester hours in chemistry, supplemented by course work in mathematics through differential and integral calculus, and at least 6 semester hours of physics.
You may qualify if you meet one of the following:
1. GS-7: You must have completed or will complete a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's from an accredited institution AND must have documented Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) at the undergraduate level in the following:
a) Grade Point Average 2.95 or higher out of a possible 4.0 as recorded on your official transcript or as computed based on 4 years of education or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of curriculum; OR 3.45 or higher out of a possible 4.0 based on the average of the required courses completed in your major field or the required courses in your major field completed during the final 2 years of your curriculum.
2. GS-9: You must have completed 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree:
a) Grade Point Average - 2.95 or higher out of a possible 4.0 as recorded on your official transcript or as computed based on 4 years of education or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of curriculum; OR 3.45 or higher out of a possible 4.0 based on the average of the required courses completed in your major field or the required courses in your major field completed during the final 2 years of your curriculum. If more than 10 percent of total undergraduate credit hours are non-graded, i.e. pass/fail, CLEP, CCAF, DANTES, military credit, etc. you cannot qualify based on GPA.
