Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Research & Development Compounding Technician to support the preparation of experimental sterile and non-sterile formulations. This role is hands-on and highly collaborative, working directly with pharmacists and product developers on new formulations, product testing, and controlled documentation. The ideal candidate brings strong compounding experience, comfort with lab equipment, and the ability to maintain a clean, compliant laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
Formulation & Compounding
●Prepare sterile and non-sterile research formulations including capsules, creams, ointments, suspensions, solutions, injectables, and syrups.
● Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients using precise technique and calibrated lab equipment.
● Perform potency calculations and assist with formulation trials or process improvements.
Product Testing & Documentation
●Support stability studies, compatibility assessments, and basic analytical tests (pH, viscosity, density, particle size).
●Document research batches, maintain lab notebooks, label samples, and ensure accurate tracking of materials.
●Assist in updating SOPs, formulation worksheets, and project-related documents.
Laboratory Operations
● Clean, maintain, and calibrate equipment such as capsule machines, mixers, homogenizers, and balances.
● Manage ingredient inventory, monitor supply levels, and request ordering when needed.
● Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant R&D workspace.
● Experience with picnometers and viscometers preferred per hiring manager intake.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
● Work closely with pharmacists, QA, and product development teams on ongoing projects.
● Provide observations during formulation trials and support preparations for pilot-scale batches.
Required Qualifications
● Pharmacy technician certification
●2+ years of sterile and non-sterile compounding experience (strong 1-1.5+ year candidates considered)

What You Will Do
Prepare and mix samples (compounding and extrusion) for testing and customer trials
Maintain accurate records of testing procedures and results

Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished scientist with industrial experience in recombinant protein and antibody production to join our team as a Senior or Principal R&D Scientist. This role requires strong expertise in sequence and construct design, expression, purification, and characterization of complex biomolecules, including engineered antibody formats (full-length IgG, bispecific, Fab, sc Fv, Fc-fusions) and fusion proteins. The successful candidate will lead small - to medium - scale production projects, serve as a technical authority in molecular and biochemical design, and ensure delivery of high- quality proteins for research and therapeutic applications. While the emphasis is on project leadership, planning, and mentorship, this position also involves hands-on bench work when needed to support critical projects or troubleshooting.
Flexibility is required, including potential weekend work and early or late weekday shifts based on project demands.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end protein production projects, from amino acid sequence design to purified, quality-tested product.
Design and optimize molecular constructs for recombinant proteins, including antibodies and antibody-derived formats (full-length IgG, bispecific, Fab, sc Fv, Fc-fusions) as well as Fc- and non-Fc fusion proteins.
Develop and lead critical SOPs, especially those related to sequence/construct design and molecular engineering, in coordination with upstream, downstream, and analytical teams.
Assist with customized project inquiry review. Determine feasibility of protein expressions, identify areas for optimization, and draft production proposals for project managers.
Advise and review upstream expression workflows in mammalian and insect systems (HEK293, CHO, Sf9), ensuring reproducibility and scalability.
Lead downstream purification strategies using modern chromatography platforms (affinity, IEX, SEC) and contribute to process optimization.
Develop and interpret analytical assays, including ELISA, BLI, DSF, HPLC-SEC, and related QC methods, to assess protein quality, stability, and activity.
Mentor and supervise associates and junior scientists, ensuring rigorous documentation, data integrity, and efficient lab execution.
Collaborate across departments to align on construct design principles, process strategies, and project execution.

We are seeking passionate researchers, who are interested in creating their own research programs, by pursuing projects through grant writing in new and upcoming fields within the SBIR program. This is a great opportunity for you to be at the cutting edge of R&D, while pursuing research interests that are at the intersection of your interests, and the company's desired growth areas.
This position will require you to spend a significant portion of your time writing research grants, and the balance of your time providing research direction on projects in the lab either as a Principal Investigator, or as a Key Technical Personnel. During the initial stages of your career, you will receive mentorship and training on grant writing from several experienced researchers at Lynntech including from personnel with backgrounds in Engineering, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science etc. As you progress in your career, you will transition into a role where you are not only writing your own grant proposals, but also providing mentorship to other junior level grant writers. As you secure funding from the SBIR program, you will have the opportunity to grow your own research group with multiple practitioner personnel reporting into your function to help execute multi-disciplinary projects and technologies to set them up for commercialization. The long-term vision for this position involves the ability to directly influence customer-driven R&D and new product development.
We are looking to hire multiple people for this position, at varying experience levels. A Ph.D. degree with research experience in a relevant field is required. Grant writing experience and execution of projects stemming from grants is desirable but not necessary.

Salary Range: $80K to $100K depending on experience

New Product Development Analyst
Research and development technician job in Dallas, TX
We are seeking a Food Science Analyst to join our New Product Development (NPD) team. This role will support the formulation, testing, and commercialization of innovative food and fresh-cut fruit products. The ideal candidate has a strong background in food science, product development, and quality assurance. They will work cross-functionally with QA, production, procurement, marketing, and food safety teams to ensure new products meet consumer expectations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Accountabilities:
* NPD product formulation, including iterative testing in a food-safe environment to optimize ingredients for sensorial and shelf-life objectives.
* Conduct sensory and shelf-life testing to assess product quality, flavor retention, and microbial stability.
* Research and analyze in-market products, performing reverse-engineering of competitor formulations to identify innovation opportunities.
* Ensure NPD processing and operational efficiencies, collaborating with production teams to streamline scale-up processes.
* Prepare prototypes and mock-up samples for internal evaluations, consumer testing, and sales presentations.
* Conduct analytical testing (e.g., pH, Brix, organoleptic) to assess product performance and ensure food quality and safety.
* Research and test new ingredients, processing techniques, and preservation methods to enhance product quality and extend shelf life.
* Work with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality raw materials for product development.
* Maintain a food and ingredient inventory for NPD purposes, ensuring materials are available for ongoing trials.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new products align with food safety regulations, labeling requirements, and industry standards.
* Support sensory evaluation panels and consumer testing to optimize product flavor, texture, and appearance.
* Document testing results, prepare reports, and present findings to internal stakeholders
* Proactively brings thoughtful product recommendations to cross-functional teams that drive brand and business results.
* Ability to substantiate recommendations with research, reasoning, and data.
* Ability to work closely with suppliers in developing and improving their processes to achieve commercial viability of products.

Minimum Skills Required:
* 1-3 years of work experience in food/beverage product/process development, quality assurance, or R&D. (fresh produce experience a plus)
* Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
* Strong Knowledge of food processing, ingredient functionality, and packaging technologies.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in food testing methodologies (e.g., microbiological, chemical, and physical testing).
* Familiarity with food science equipment required
* Experience with consumer insights, culinary innovation, and nutrition.
* Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, FDA, USDA, and other food safety regulations.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and teamwork capabilities.
