Assemble and analyzes data of specific problems while initiating action within standard procedures. Be involved in protein production and purification for use in the development and implementation of various biochemical assays to characterize protein-protein interactions aimed at identifying the mechanism of activity of insecticidal proteins. Additional responsibilities will include general laboratory maintenance, buffer preparation, performing subcellular fractionations, data management and regular communications to stakeholders on progress. What Skills You Need: Associates with 3+ years of experience or Bachelor of Science degree with 0 to 3 years of experience in protein biochemistry or related fields. Highly competent and motivated with working experience in subcellular fractionation protocols, protein purification and general laboratory maintenance. Experience with insecticidal proteins, receptor-mediated mechanisms, or protein structure determination would be beneficial but are not required.
