There are twenty-five full-time faculty and two adjunct faculty members in the department; they have diverse research interests spanning molecular genetics, cellular immunology, microbiology, cancer and health disparities. Position Overview
The lab focuses on pluripotent stem cells and role of BET proteins in inflammation and other diseases. We use a wide range of technologies including molecular biology, cell biology, conditional KO mouse models, computational biology, genetics, and others to study the molecular mechanisms of cellular reprogramming and inflammation. Experiences and skills in cell culture, mouse models, molecular biology, stem cell biology, and immunology are highly valued. Department Summary
As part of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, we offer undergraduate (i.e., B.A. and B.S. Majors in Psychology) and graduate programs (i.e., PhD in Behavioral Sciences, Clinical Psychology, and Counseling Psychology). Our Clinical and Counseling programs are APA accredited. The UNT Department of Psychology includes ~35 faculty members, over 3,000 undergraduate majors and approximately 110 graduate students.
Position Overview
The post-bacculreate hourly research assistant will be hired up to 8 hours per week. Responsibilities include attending research meetings, contributing to academic projects and writing (e.g., annotated bibliographies), and administrative tasks (e.g., scheduling lab meetings, sending calendar invitations).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Psychology
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The post-bacculreate hourly research assistant position requires knowledge of relevant scholarly topics (e.g., multicultural psychology), skills in Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint and SPSS, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with others.

Research Associate I
Research assistant job in Richardson, TX
A postdoctoral research associate/scientist position is available for joining an established interdisciplinary research group based in the Center for Atomically Precise Fabrication of Soli-state Quantum Devices at the University of Texas at Dallas. This project is funded by Department of Energy and aims to develop innovative tools and methods for high-throughput atomically precise manufacturing. The project will involve design and fabrication of innovative MEMS devices for high-speed and high-throughput scanning probe microscopy. The applicant should have a strong background in MEMS design and MEMS fabrication in a cleanroom environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a host of theoretical and experimental projects, supervise graduate and undergraduate researchers, write reports and manuscripts, attend international conferences, prepare proposals and work closely with collaborating groups.
