Job Description: High-Throughput Screening Research Associate II, III (Biodesigner II, III) Responsibilities: Perform massively parallel reporter assays and high-throughput screens across diverse cellular contexts using cellular and molecular readouts. The Clinical Research Coordinator will be based at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) working collaboratively within the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology as well as across other Divisions at the VAMC and UCSF. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: A Bachelor's degree (or senior-year Bachelor student with a graduation date scheduled for 2026) or equivalent experience; 0-1 years of Animal handling experience; Valid Driver's License required; Desired: Coursework and/or knowledge of molecular biology, anatomy, and physiology; Experience working with research animals and performing rodent procedures; Experience working in a research environment. Understanding of basic molecular biology and stem cell biology; Ability to perform surgery on rats and mice as needed; Dexterity and hand coordination to perform rodent survival surgeries; Some knowledge of research procedures and protocols gained through education or experience; Ability to develop skills in rodent surgeries (i.e., muscle injury models); Knowledge of scientific research methodology and data analysis skills; Strong reasoning skills in order to troubleshoot experiments; Ability to grasp concepts in scientific papers for key methods or findings to support research; Ability to work in a team; Ability to multi-task several projects at the same time.
