Under general guidance, the Administrative Research Associate III works closely with PI, providing technical and/or administrative support in large or multi-project oriented labs. May be requested by PI to take on specific supervisory activities, and provide administrative leadership, and/or technical expertise. May develop hypothesis and assist in planning steps for the investigative process. Will review and remain current on literature as it relates to clinical/research study. Coordinates all lab and/or clinical activities, including but not limited to, budgetary/financial compliance, preparation of grant proposals, and creating independent presentations. Not responsible for generating grant funds.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Provides miscellaneous clinical/research support (ad hoc data analysis, hypothesis development, programming, troubleshooting, etc.).
Organizes clinical/research trials in conjunction with the Principal Investigator and sponsor and/or funding source.
Monitors and ensures compliance with safety standards and procedures
Analyzes data and prepares scientific findings for publication as author or co-author.
May make independent presentations
May provide system administration and maintenance for the local workstation network.
Leads and trains Research Lab Assistants, Research Fellow, lower level Research Associates, and other related support staff and may be requested by PI to take on specific supervisory activities.
Orients new Research Fellows and/or Research Scientists to day-to-day lab operations and procedures.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry or related science field.
Experience:
Two (2) years minimum experience in research specialty required
Three (3) years of research lab experience required
Department Specific Experience:
Strong aseptic technique
Molecular laboratory techniques such as RNA isolation, DNA synthesis, PCR, Western blotting, Gel Electrophoresis, and cell culture.
Experienced in handling and working with small laboratory animals, mouse is preferred.
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

What You'll Do
Ensure established restaurant policies and procedures, including service style, are being followed.
To prepare annual budget, according to the specifications set forth by the Management Company with the assistance of the property General Manager.
To coordinate all restaurant marketing, public relations and advertising for food and beverage.
Partner with the Culinary Team on improving and implementing menu enhancements.
Control beverage inventory, variety and cost to maintain adequate supply, quality and profitability.
To continually monitor and control division expenditures and payroll to ensure that operational standards are met while maintaining annual budget.
Execute and review monthly reports tracking covers, revenues and costs in comparison to budget.
Oversee execution of departmental inventories and establish purchasing guidelines.
To properly document Personnel/Payroll transactions, as directed.
Train staff on all SOPs and ensure there is understanding and compliance.
Complete payroll and timekeeping logs to specifications.
To design, implement and coordinate consistent service levels in all food and beverage outlets.
To regularly review all food and beverage pricing and to identify all yield management revenue opportunities.
To continually monitor service and quality standards.
To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure culinary staff is in compliance with local safety and health ordinance regulations.
To ensure that all outlets have regularly scheduled staff meetings, training and food education.
Conduct monthly departmental operations meetings.
To promote and comply with all company policies and procedures.
To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.

The Research Scientist III (epi/bio) serves as a subject matter expert in data science and conducts public health investigations to identify, respond, and prevent non-infectious, toxicological outbreaks.
The incumbent works under the general direction of the Environmental Program Manager of the Exposure Investigations Section within the Environmental Health Investigations Branch. The incumbent serves as the branch data scientist and epidemiologist with the Toxicological Outbreak Program. The incumbent develops data pipelines, case definitions, investigation surveys, protocols, reports, and provides expertise in identifying non-infectious agents of exposure and serves as a liaison with interdepartmental, state, federal, and academic colleagues.

· Responsible for pesticide applications including completing required documentation and posting requirements.
· Assists in monitoring and guiding the farming activities to achieve desired results.
· Coordinate with Farm Manager and Breeder Assistants regarding chemical applications in the field and greenhouses.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
· Must be able to operate and maintain farm equipment such as irrigation pumps,
tractors, pickups, disks, sprayers, levelers, fertilizer spreaders, bed presses, mulch machines, pesticide applicators, etc.
· Must have general knowledge of farm operations and farm management principles.
· Bi-lingual English/Spanish ability is highly desirable but not required.
· Ability to handle stress especially when encountering necessary projects, deadlines and/or high workload.
· Must be able to work under strict time constraints and requirements.
· Computer experience with Microsoft Office software desired.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Job Summary
Reporting to the Anthropological Studies Center (ASC) Business Director, with additional lead work direction from the ASC management team, the Archaeological Research Technician gathers, compiles and analyzes archaeological research data and materials associated with archaeological surveys and excavations.
Key Qualifications
This position requires the equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university, including or supplemented by a course in statistics and one year of experience in technical research or statistical work. One year of graduate study in social sciences, anthropology, archaeology or cultural and heritage resource management fields may be substituted for the required experience and additional experience which has demonstrated that the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledges and abilities delineated above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Experience with archaeological sites and in field or lab settings, oral history or interpretive work and a bachelor's in Anthropology or closely related discipline strongly preferred. Proficiency with computers, Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) required. Knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred.
Salary and Benefits
This is a part time, temporary, non-exempt position. The CSU Classification Step Range for this position is $26.51 - $38.62 per hour (step 1 - step 20). Step placement will be determined based on relevant qualifications and professional experience. Step placement upon appointment is not expected to exceed Step 1, $26.51 an hour. Reappointment to this position is dependent upon the individual's performance as well as administrative and budgetary considerations. The university reserves the right to terminate this appointment earlier than the scheduled expiration date.

Greet guests pleasantly as they approach the bar; promote house drinks and utilize up-selling skills whenever possible to maximize revenues.
Prepare beverages requested by guests. Adhere to established pouring standards and drink recipes to provide a consistent product to the guests and to control costs. Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Monitor guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease; notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of customers; check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable.
Set up bar including all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies. Perform pre- and post-shift side-work (empty/fill ice-bins, prepare garnishments, replenish/store snacks, etc.).
Inspect bar daily for cleanliness and attractiveness and inspect all equipment and machinery for proper operation. Sweep and mop bar floor after shift. Wipe down counters, equipment, stools, chairs, tables, and other areas as required.

Track all spending against product performance on the revenue side.

Ensure that the POS is properly accounted each night and that all tickets and spillage are accounted for.
Alert Management of any service and/or safety issues. Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Inventory unused liquor and beverages. Ensure that all liquor is properly secured before, during, and at close of shift.
To maintain the proper care and cleanliness of tableware and serving equipment, handling both to minimize breakage.

What You Will Be Doing
Perform routine pre-service tasks as directed, including transporting china, glassware, and silver; making sure service plates are hot and ready to be used.
Attend to food service lines throughout service, including maintaining an adequate supply of clean dishes and utensils; refilling plate warmers as needed; and providing a constant supply of hot dishes and platters.
Sweep, clean, and de-grease all kitchen floors on a daily basis.
