    The Research Assistant will support the research activities of users in the Electron Microscopy Center. Responsibilities will include following established protocols for biological sample preparation and preparation of chemical solutions, reagents, and buffers. The Research Assistant will also assist in maintaining chemical inventories and proper labeling/storage. They will operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment (pH meters, balances, etc.) and assist with routine tasks such as pipetting, staining, and microscopy. They will ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper waste disposal procedures and will maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory spaces. As part of their work, they will communicate professionally with students, faculty, and external users.
