**Job Description**
The National Laboratory of the Rockies' (NLR) cybersecurity research is strengthening our grid against tomorrow's threats. This position supports the laboratory's Energy Threat Analysis Center (ETAC) with research efforts that includes but may not be limited to:
+ Cyber-physical vulnerabilities (e.g., energy systems, industrial control systems, distributed energy systems)
+ Threat modeling and implementation of adversarial Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) using state-of-the-art modeling and simulation tools
This internship will include exposure to cybersecurity subject matter experts across the Department of Energy laboratory complex, and private industry utility experts.
Responsibilities for this internship will include but may not be limited to:
+ Develop attack scenarios within a modeled utility environment
+ Use open-source tools to create system models used to validate the effectiveness of adversarial TTPs
+ Contribute to the software development efforts of the NLR Cyber Range
+ Collaborate with NLR research staff to develop AI tools and processes to accelerate research and understand AI's impact on electricity systems
+ Analyze cybersecurity artifacts within test environments to assess adversarial scenarios
+ Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team

Minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
Undergraduate: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a bachelor's degree program from an accredited institution.

The Experience
This 10-week, paid, immersive summer internship places you directly on project teams working on real-world challenges in landscape architecture, planning, and the built environment. You'll learn how projects move from idea to impact-while gaining the technical, creative, and professional skills that set future leaders apart.
You'll be part of a firmwide cohort of interns, balancing hands-on studio work with participation in the Dr. Charles Fountain focus project, designed to foster leadership, collaboration, and purpose-driven design.

The Experience
This 10-week, paid, immersive summer internship places you directly on project teams working on real-world challenges in landscape architecture, planning, and the built environment. You'll learn how projects move from idea to impact-while gaining the technical, creative, and professional skills that set future leaders apart.
You'll be part of a firmwide cohort of interns, balancing hands-on studio work with participation in the Dr. Charles Fountain focus project, designed to foster leadership, collaboration, and purpose-driven design.
Through close mentorship and team-based learning, interns gain:

Insight into careers shaping communities, cities, and landscapes

Job Purpose/Overview
We are seeking an AI Scientist to join our R&D organization, focusing on computer vision tasks and basic data engineering responsibilities.
