We are a Boston-based epidemiology and biomedical research organization seeking a full-time, in-person clinical research assistant for a research study examining a remotely delivered physical activity promotion and Tai Chi intervention for patients with COPD and/or heart failure at the VA Boston Healthcare System (West Roxbury campus).
General Statement of Duties and Responsibilities
The Research Assistant supports all aspects of the research project(s), including technical, clinical and administrative duties including (but not limited to) recruitment and screening of research participants, conducting outcome testing and performing clinical assessments as detailed in the study protocol(s). The position requires careful attention to detail in collecting study data, and reliable and accurate execution of other required study-related tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator. The Research Assistant is responsible for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of research data and serves as the focal point for interactions among the research participants enrolled in the project(s). Training will be provided in the study techniques including all assessment methods.
There is opportunity for the candidate to actively participate in writing abstracts and research papers, and delivering scientific presentations. A successful candidate will gain valuable experience and knowledge working in all phases of the clinical research process, including study design and implementation, data collection with direct interactions with patients, regulatory oversight, and analysis and interpretation of results while embedded in a clinical, hospital setting. This position is ideal for someone wishing to gain hands-on experience in a clinical or health-related field. /Responsibilities
Responsible for managing study participant processing and flow from initial recruitment, informed consent and enrollment, and follow-up assessments.
Conducts surveys in-person and virtually using standardized survey instruments or specific assessment tools detailed in the study protocol(s).
Manages research data in REDCap per research protocol(s) and established SOPs.
Reviews and verifies research data ensuring appropriate data tracking, storage and security procedures are in place.
Compiles, prepares, and assists in developing reports for internal and external oversight entities.
Maintains integrity and confidentiality of data, private health information and personal identifying information.
Attends all study-related meetings.
Skills and Experience
Degree required: Minimum of BA, BSc that includes courses in biological, social, or public health sciences is preferred.
Previous research or clinical experience with human subjects is preferred but not required.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Knowledge of standard computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, REDCap, and standard audiovisual conferencing platforms such as Zoom.

Overview

Job Summary
The Research Assistant II will be involved in coordinating the clinical research activities and quality improvement data management and analysis for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) of the Cardiovascular Division at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Qualifications

* Responsible for creating data reports and presents regular and ad-hoc study progress reports for weekly meetings, and study sponsors.
* Participates in regular meeting with QI and project teams
* Contributes to preparation of abstracts and manuscripts for publication.
* Actively responsible for the recruitment of study subjects. This includes developing and implementation of recruitment strategies, telephone screening of potential subjects, enlisting participation by scheduling appointments and sending out necessary paperwork.

Experience with biogeochemical analyses including nutrient (e.g. ammonia, nitrate, phosphate, total dissolved nitrogen) and elemental analysis (e.g. dissolved and particulate carbon) using of spectrophotometers and automated analyzers is required. The National Ocean Sciences Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (NOSAMS) facility at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) is seeking a Research Associate III for the maintenance, development, and operation of our two 14C Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) systems. NOSAMS provides high-quality radiocarbon measurements to the global ocean sciences community while advancing AMS technology and applications. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to world-class ocean and climate research.
Our facility operates two AMS systems: one based on a 500 kV Pelletron accelerator and a Mini Carbon Dating System (MICADAS) from Ionplus that was installed in 2022. The MICADAS system comes with several sample-to-gas-to ion source interfaces to allow enhanced NOSAMS capabilities and unique research directions.
The candidate will work within the NOSAMS team to provide high quality 14C measurements and expertise to the ocean science community, and to enhance NOSAMS capabilities. In particular, the candidate is expected to assist in the operation and maintenance of the AMS system for sample analyses to obtain the highest quality measurements. Participation in technology and method development anticipated.

Duties and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support grant activities across a range of water quality related topics:
* Conduct literature reviews and prepare summaries of findings in different formats.
* Assist with outreach/engagement products and training.
* Perform website updates and development.
* Coordinate and organize research meetings and outreach events; perform other scheduling as needed.
* Support water and wastewater sample collection as needed.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet regularly with the research team.
Provide regular progress updates.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Core faculty members are involved in teaching, advising, and research supervision, as well as contributing through committee work and scholarly productivity. Advanced Clinical Practice.
This course guides students in developing advanced skills in conceptualizing cases and creating treatment plans for children, adolescents, and adults.
The successful candidate may also teach generalist foundational courses in the Clinical Psy.D. program.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology, have completed an APA-accredited internship, have teaching experience, preferably be licensed or license-eligible in Massachusetts, and maintain some involvement in clinical practice or consultation. A demonstrated record of scholarly work defined broadly (e.g., community engagement, educational leadership, innovation, investigation, and research) is preferred. . Successful applicants will have a demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and equitable educational and workplace environment, and must be willing to contribute to the core values of the college. Candidates must be available to teach in-person classes and participate in on-campus activities. The Computational Neuroscience Laboratory, led by Dr. Caterina Stamoulis, is seeking a highly motivated, full-time Research Assistant I/II. The Research Assistant will work on projects at the intersection of Computational Neuroscience and Data Science, which aim to analyze large functional and diffusion MRI (fMRI and dMRI) datasets with the goal of understanding the development of brain circuits in adolescence and the impact of physiological and environmental factors on their maturation trajectories. This is an excellent opportunity to work at a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, become involved in Computational Neuroscience research, and learn cutting-edge computational techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
* Independently develop large-scale computer codes, almost exclusively using the software MATLAB, and implement novel algorithms for characterizing brain networks and their developmental trajectories.
* Analyze large volumes of fMRI, structural MRI and diffusion MRI data.
* Develop statistical models for longitudinal analyses.
* Maintain and expand the capabilities of a novel computational platform for large-scale analysis of very large brain datasets.
* Participate as co-author in manuscripts and conference abstracts.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
* Bachelor of Science in degree in Neuroscience, Biological/Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (with a focus on Signal Processing) or Physics.
