The Tsai Lab studies the genomics of pediatric brain tumors, focusing on using functional genomics approaches to characterize tumor drivers and identify novel dependencies with the goal of finding better therapies for childhood cancer. The Associate Research Specialist will perform molecular biology techniques (cloning, plasmid generation, DNA and RNA isolations), protein work including Western blots, generate lentivirus, culture neurosphere cell lines, and perform functional genomics experiments in these cell lines. This individual will be expected to be organized, understand scientific concepts, plan and prepare for experiments, and conduct routine and non-routine laboratory procedures.
