**Key Responsibilities:**

- Support data analysis and visualization efforts to inform stakeholder decisions

Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree or higher in Biology, Biodefense or similar national security domain, or related field
- Strong research experience, including systematic literature reviews and data analysis
- Proficiency with data analysis tools
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including policy memo writing and briefing
- Ability to work with large datasets and information management systems

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Primary Responsibilities
Assist in daily pig care; check, identify, and administer treatment to sick pigs, monitor room temperatures, feed levels, water meters, and ventilation settings
Provide support for research measurement days and between research studies
Collect pig health status, feed usage, pig bodyweights, and other notable observations related to research trials
Regularly handle, restrain, move, and load pigs of various sizes (12 -300+ lbs.)
Pressure wash and disinfect animal rooms as well as load out chutes and hallways in between animal groups
Maintain flexibility to work at different research barns based on scheduling and project needs
Operate a tractor, spray weeds, mow lawn, manage and rotate compost bays
Learn and understand feeding equipment and environmental controls
Wash and disinfect scales, buckets, boots, panels, and other equipment regularly
Carry out and understand the importance of all biosecurity procedures including showering in and out of research barns
Perform other job duties assigned that are found to be necessary by the barn manager including miscellaneous maintenance of facility and equipment: fix broken water lines and drinkers, change light bulbs, regular greasing of fans and other equipment
Set up rooms to receive new pigs for research trials

These binaural systems are important for selective attention and may be disrupted by early life conductive hearing loss and contribute to central auditory processing disorder. The postdoctoral researcher will support projects under the leadership of Bradley Winters, PhD using advanced in vivo and ex vivo neuroscience methods in rodent animal models. Techniques used include whole-cell and dual dendritic-somatic patch-clamp, multiphoton imaging, and RNA sequencing.
Candidates should have a PhD in neuroscience or related field and excellent communication skills. Experience in electrophysiology and rodent animal models is highly desired. The position requires working with rodents including surgical procedures and euthanasia as well as a strong work ethic and engagement with relevant scientific literature.
