This position will assist the Field Research Scientist Co-op executing yield trial research activities at the Bayer Crop Science research station. Co-ops will have the opportunity to work in operations related to yield trials through experiment set up, soil sampling, UAV flying, data collection, planting, and other activities as directed. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
Work independently surveying, scouting fields, collecting data, and meeting with cooperators as needed;
Utilize equipment such as planters/combines, UTV's and iPads for note taking;
Manage regulated trait trials maintaining 100% compliance;
Work with cross-functional teams to execute protocols that support our overall Bayer Crop Science corporation goals and objectives for corn and soybeans. Research will be conducted on multiple fields throughout the state;
Collect all necessary data in-season from field trials required by protocol and delivered on timelines assigned;
Comply with ESH (Safety) and USDA/Bayer compliance programs and requirements;
Assist in other research activities as required.

Willingness to relocate for the role to the rural Central Plains area;

The Associate Researcher will contribute to and lead aspects of ongoing federally funded studies, including the Building Healthy Eating and Self-Esteem Together for University Students (BEST-U) trial, Smart Technology for Anorexia Nervosa Recovery (STAR) trial, Department of Defense-funded projects focused on eating pathology in military and veteran populations, and additional NIH- and endowment-supported research.
CARE also houses extensive existing data resources, including:
* A longitudinal sample of more than 3,000 individuals with eating disorders collected in collaboration with Recovery Record.
* Nationally representative datasets of veterans and military members examining eating pathology, comorbidities, and health care utilization.
* A longitudinal dataset of approximately 300 individuals with eating disorders, assessed every six months over three years, with the possibility of additional long-term follow-up funding.
The Associate Researcher will receive co-supervision from Dr. Angeline Bottera (CARE Associate Director), whose program of research focuses on mobile-health (mHealth) interventions and circadian dysfunction in eating disorders, providing a rich and diverse array of research and scholarship opportunities.
This position is located at the University of Kansas-Lawrence. Following an initial onboarding and training period, limited hybrid work flexibility may be available based on project needs and supervisor approval.
