We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial CR/DR Technician to join our non-destructive testing (NDT) team. The CR/DR Technician will operate computed radiography (CR) and digital radiography (DR) equipment to inspect materials, components, and structures for defects in industrial settings. This role requires technical expertise, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work in demanding environments such as manufacturing, aerospace, or energy sectors.
Responsibilities
Operate CR and DR imaging equipment to perform non-destructive testing on welds, pipelines, castings, or other industrial components.
Set up and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate detection of defects, cracks, or material inconsistencies.
Interpret and analyze radiographic images to identify flaws in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS).
Prepare and position components or materials for inspection, ensuring proper alignment and exposure settings.
Maintain and troubleshoot CR/DR systems, reporting malfunctions or calibration issues to supervisors or maintenance teams.

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation software.
Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment setup and minor repairs.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in teams.
Proficiency in operating CR/DR systems, including familiarity with imaging software and analysis tools.
Knowledge of radiation safety standards and industrial NDT codes (e.g., ASME, API, ASTM).

EDUCATION:

This Postdoctoral Fellow position will be part of the Coastal Carbon Cycle Laboratory of the Marine Science Institute at the University of Texas at Austin located in Port Aransas, Texas. The initial appointment is set for one year, renewal is subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Responsibilities
Join field and lab-based experiment, perform data collection and interpretation.
Present research results at national/international meetings.
Write manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed international journals.
Collaborate with other members of the lab group, and mentor undergraduate/early career graduate students in the lab.

Required Qualifications
Doctoral degree in marine chemistry, chemical oceanography, or a related field, earned within the last 3 years.

Preferred Qualifications

The position focuses on developing robust decision-making, planning, and control methods that address uncertainty arising from perception, vehicle dynamics, and complex real-world environments. Research themes include model predictive control, reinforcement learning, reachability analysis, uncertainty quantification, and safety-critical visual reasoning. RESPONSIBILITIES
Research: 50%
Conduct research on safe, efficient, and uncertainty-aware algorithms for autonomous driving systems.
Research themes include:
Safe and efficient decision-making and control for autonomous vehicles.

Uncertainty quantification and propagation in planning and control.

Position Information
Texas A&M AgriLife Research at Yoakum, is seeking a highly motivated Research Technician II. Under general supervision the Research Technician will perform semi-skilled, technical support research work involving performance of assignments requiring modification and adaptation to routine procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on the successful completion of tasks assigned.
Responsibilities:
-Ability to drive tractor and knowledge of farm equipment. This includes discing, bedding, and planting of various crops.
-Spraying of various pesticides to maintain fields weed and disease free during growing season. This requires a pesticide license to perform these duties.

PURPOSE
The College of Engineering and Computer Science at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to advance the state of the art in safe, efficient, and uncertainty-aware algorithms for autonomous driving systems. The position focuses on developing robust decision-making, planning, and control methods that address uncertainty arising from perception, vehicle dynamics, and complex real-world environments. Research themes include model predictive control, reinforcement learning, reachability analysis, uncertainty quantification, and safety-critical visual reasoning. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of researchers in a highly supportive and innovative environment. The appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and available funding.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Research: 50%
Conduct research on safe, efficient, and uncertainty-aware algorithms for autonomous driving systems.
Research themes include:
Safe and efficient decision-making and control for autonomous vehicles.
Model Predictive Control (MPC), Reinforcement Learning (RL), and reachability analysis.
Uncertainty quantification and propagation in planning and control.
3D scene understanding, cooperative perception, and safety-critical visual reasoning.
Develop theoretical and computational methods to advance these areas.
Publish research results in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at conferences.
Programming, Simulation, and Experimental Implementation: 40%
Develop, implement, and validate research algorithms.
Maintain reproducible code and documentation.
Conduct simulation experiments using driving simulators or other software tools to test and validate algorithms.
Perform physical experiments on robotic and vehicle-based experimental platforms to evaluate real-world performance.
Ensure safe operation, setup, and maintenance of research equipment and experimental platforms.
Communication and Collaboration: 10%
Prepare research reports, manuscripts, and presentations for conferences and publications.
Collaborate with lab members, faculty, and external partners on research projects.
Mentor graduate or undergraduate students as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Doctoral Degree in Automation, Robotics, Control, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; advanced ABD will be considered and degree must be conferred by time of appointment.
Strong background in one or more of the following areas:
Optimal control, MPC, RL, or reachability analysis.
Uncertainty quantification, stochastic modeling, or probabilistic reasoning.
Proficiency in Python, C++, or MATLAB, with demonstrated ability to implement complex algorithms.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
